As this update rolls out, I'm certain there will be much feedback which will prove useful to the software team to track.

Please keep in mind, we are only 2/4 updates complete so various bugs we see now may be fixed with a future update as it rolls out. As-is though, it still would provide useful feedback to the dev team for bugs we encounter.

In order to keep the feedback concise, this thread will endure some extra scrutiny in topic drift.

Merry Early Christmas!

Post feedback here instead

Thanks for starting, looking forward to the next two updates.

Perhaps we can kick this off by having the beta testers or @Firstto520 let us know what is changed/added/fixed in the next two updates that are already planned so we can refrain from worrying about those items.

I’m not sure our small group of first wavers can answer this as they’ll be getting some tweaks pushed too. Love this thread as it’ll be super helpful, but might wait until the entire package has been pushed. To be honest, I can’t definitively say what’s in the last updates aside from the big item (Highway Assist) and have avoided peppering the team with questions as they’re just a tad busy. ;)

Happy Sunday friends.

So is this thread for feedback for this update 2.0.5 or are we waiting for the entire package to be pushed before we unleash our privileged first world gripes?

I would wait, no reason to highlight something that has a fix in the immediate pipeline.

Yes, please wait until the pushes are done.

Also, please try to mark your post as: “BUG”, “REGRESSION”, or “FEATURE REQUEST” so that it’s easier to keep track.

Love 2.0.5. I'll wait to post bugs/requests until fully updated, beyond what I already posted before I saw this thread. Even though it's not complete, there's already so many fewer glitches and frustrations!

Beyond thrilled that boot up is now instantaneous.

Lost the kw/miles reading normally under the Trip A odometer. An ideas on how to get it back?

I believe it may be intentional and possibly have way to toggle view content in the future.

Maybe Lucid wants us to enjoy the car, not nickel and dime on engineering of driving style. 🤔
I’ll be honest having the mi/kWh display makes me drive slower, it’s very satisfying when I get it to go from 3.9 to 4. There’s really no reason to drive that way though unless you’re at risk of not making it to a charging station. Just drive however you feel like, the car can handle it and range limitations won’t strand you (unless you got burnt by a bad charging location and didn’t have a nearby backup plan).

2.0.5 update issues

1) they removed the miles/kWh efficiency from the left side of the speedometer. If you have a destination set in the maps, it will fill that space with a miles remaining at arrival. Can the miles/kWh be restored if there is no destination entered in the maps, or provide a toggle switch for what we want to see? I actually like to see the efficiency while driving.

2) while driving after the update, an orange triangle/ exclamation point appeared without providing any information as to what the issue was. Apparantly this is a software glitch, per CS, as it disappeared after a 15’ power off cycle.

Installing 2.0.8 now. Is this the last part or is a fourth section coming?

If this is the last part I may have some input if remains.

I'm loving that car continues to play from same playlist on TIDAL now.

To prevent this thread from getting crazy and all over the place, I setup a sub-forum where you can post your individual Bug, Feature, Question here:

When posting, please choose the correct prefix.

For simple updates/observations, this thread will remain open.

Does anyone know the criteria used to select when the update is pushed out? I’m number 263 but have not seen notification the update is available for download.

If you didn't message Len to get into the expanded beta group of 100 cars, you will need to wait for it to be pushed to the rest of the fleet.

Just drove on 2.0.12. Very impressed with high beam assist. I live out in the country with a lot of blind corners and hills, the car very intuitively turned the lights on and off as needed. So far it’s one of the best auto high beam implementations I have used. I got to use highway assist for a brief moment this morning until it said it was unavailable in the area, it worked nicely! Definitely centers the car, which is totally fine! All of this coupled with the brand new boot speeds, the Lucid software team deserves high praise @Firstto520. Looking forward to other rollouts!

After the last 2.0.12, I can now say with confidence that I am confused on why the seatbelt warning situation is now worse. In states like Florida, it's not required to wear a seatbelt in the backseat (regardless of what anyone recommends). With this, it has been extraordinarily annoying to have the alert go off when people in the backseat aren't yet buckled in.

The sound file change for that alert is now flat out obnoxious to the point where the old alert was somehow more pleasant (but still annoying) and the new alert is simply unpleasant. If the old alert was within regulation, I can't see how this provided any quality of life improvement on a luxury vehicle. I can say my Taycan and EQS are more appealing for someone hopping in and starting up a car with/without passengers now.

Also, the way the seatbelts tighten and practically choke you when speeding up has always been terrible. Was really hoping someone improved that... instead they made the sound worse.

I remember back in the day, driving my Audi, I'd always say it was because those Germans and their insistence on following the rules that the car is so persistent with the seatbelt warnings.

I generally like the sound design in the Lucid. I hope this isn't a trend towards less subtlety in general.

I absolutely hate when my car "yells" at me. It's as bad as having a passenger that overreacts whenever there's a tense situation.
