Jaguar Rebrand

is this remark is based on your hands on experience as an Ipace owner?
I loved driving my I pace for 5 years (sold in 2023 to buy Lucid) and that was a long time for me so purchasing an extended warranty and time spent with potential servicing was not even attractive.
It left me stranded a few times, one of which could've been avoided by following Jag forum advice to replace the 2 12v batteries proactively. Hope the owners of the now orphaned I pace are supported. Techs at dealer Cole in walnut Creek CA know the I-pace well.
Better Lucid range / charging is a comfort. Luxury & performance at a higher level of course. $80k was a lot for a car in 2018. Miss room for bikes inside and styling

Always hard to tell with concept cars. They never end up looking like the production model, with few exceptions.

I want to see the actual unveil and not some pirated pictures that looks like something a savvy child could have created based on what was shown a couple of weeks ago.

Also the write up at the link say it's a "four door coupe", yet the pirated pic shows a 2- door coupe.

BTW, wtf is a 4 door coupe? 😂

My eyes! OMG not enough eye bleach around. It's like a poor cartoon mish-mash AI rendering of a Cybertruck mixed with an F-Type. I sure hope for their sake that the official renders are different, but I'm not optimistic.

This really makes me miss my old F-Type for sure.

I'd wager that the event to unveil the new Jaguar cars will get unusually high view numbers and perhaps be a top-trend on social media.
Maybe that was the point of this very unorthodox ad campaign. And the masses might even be impressed.

It is not yet clear whether these are real or not. They are showcasing their new EVs today at Art Basel in Miami, and these are alleged leaks before the event. I have not found a definitive source. Jaguar has said they are aware they are circulating but has said nothing about their accuracy.

Here is a better source: https://amp.theguardian.com/busines...-car-leak-out-before-official-miami-unveiling

It’s clearly a concept, if it’s accurate at all. The only actual images we’ve seen are:

I do think it’s probably legit. I just don’t want to spread rumors if it isn’t.

I'm not sure I'm remembering correctly, but those camo shots look to me like the pictures that were circulating several years ago when Jaguar was trying to develop an EV version of the XJ -- an effort they subsequently abandoned.

I would like to think that Lucid's demonstration of what can be done with space packaging is finally breaking through into legacy automaker consciousness. However, the Jaguar concept, this camouflaged car (if it's a current project), the Rolls Spectre, and pretty much any German EV indicate not.

Actually, this is their new 4-door coupe, which is entirely separate from the EV XJ (which I was originally looking forward to).

My God. I just don't get these enormous hoods on EVs, especially since some of them don't even have frunks. What is Lucid getting about space packaging that eludes everyone else? Or is Jaguar using the same platform for both an EV and an ICE sedan, like BMW?

Apparently it’s the real thing.

I really like the giant charging port doors ....
I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not, but I (actually) do! Other than the rear and the "kammback" style lines toward the back, I love the design of this thing. The front, somehow, looks fantastically planted, and the sharp lines paired with the DRLs really work.

(Please don't kill me!)
