Lucid Air Grand Touring
Two weeks in with a Grand Touring Air! Replaces a Tesla Model 3 Performance that’s going off-lease.

+ Torque! So much torque!
+ Solid suspension
+ Business class seating
- Two build defects: damaged passenger side mirror and non-working passenger sunshade light
- Minor software gremlins

Welcome to a new class of car compared to the model 3

Welcome. The sunshade light uses its own little battery. That's probably all it is.

congrats! did you identify the defects after delivery? what are your plans and have you notified anyone from lucid?

good to know its an easy fix. but does this mean they put in defective battery in a new car?

It can happen; those little thumb batteries are notorious for sometimes being under voltage, and they're rarely perfect. Not ideal, of course, to have a defective battery, but Lucid will replace it for you or spend a dollar or two at your nearest grocery store / drug store. :)

All of the defects were during the first week after delivery. I’m going to reach out to figure out who does post sales service to repair the mirror.

Where do you take delivery and/or get service near Baltimore?

Still in the queue

Assuming you're talking about the bay area in California and not anywhere else in the country.

Turns out it was low batteries. Fixed that myself. Planning to text customer service tomorrow about the mirror… and a moderate gremlin where the trunk won’t open occasionally. I’ll press the button and the trunk lid will open up 10° and stop…

Oh yeah, NorCal Bay Area. Which in itself is a bit of a misnomer since half of CA is north of the Bay Area…
