You’re holding The company accountable for falsehoods you’ve created in your mind. At least to my knowledge, Lucid NEVER stated deliveries in 2024. They mentioned going into production late 2024. If I’m mistaken, please provide me with the article where Peter or Lucid directly stated that cars would be delivered in 2024. These are two entirely different concepts. Similarly, when it comes to guidance, they emphasize vehicles produced rather than vehicles sold.
I don’t know what to tell you when it comes to the comparison between the 40,000 vs 100, 000 sales figures. If anyone genuinely believed those unrealistic projections, it’s evident that they didn’t conduct any thorough research. There’s no way a $70K to $130K car could achieve such sales volumes in those numbers. Simply analyzing the competition in the same segment reveals that Lucid wouldn’t be selling those figures with only one or two models and limited market presence.
It appears that you believe everyone has a substantial amount of disposable income and that this car would sell exceptionally well in the market. However, the Air is performing well within its segment, so I don’t understand why you’re holding Lucid accountable for attempting to achieve an unrealistic goal by selling double or triple the number of units compared to other brands.
