Congrats! Amazing turn around. March 1 confirmation date, May 16 VIN date, June 15 Delivery date. Who do you know?;) Baffling when you compare it to many current VIN/carless customers…November/December confirmation date, April VIN date, no estimation for delivery. You might want to go play the lottery.

Also congrats to PSTom! I don't think it has to do with anybody he knows, but I think it has to do with where he lives. PSTom and I confirmed on the same day, 3/1, he got his VIN on 5/16, and now his delivery on 6/15. I have yet to get my VIN. And PSTom and I have the same GT specs except he got 21" wheels and I got 19" wheels. He lives in CA near a SC, I live 685 Mi, from the FL SC. MY DA tried to persuade me that the difference in wheels had something to do about it, but I told him (in diplomatic language) he was full of ____. The wheels are the last thing in the production line and there're sitting it two bins at the end of the assembly line. Besides you and me there is another GT ordered (amorso6)who lives in NC who also confirmed on 3/1 with the same specs as mine with different wheels, but he got a VIN on 5/3, but no delivery that I am aware of. In fact I would guess that that are no GT deliveries in NC at all. I think they don't like the prospect of spending the 600+ mi. home delivery costs with the likely prospect of the buyer rejecting the delivery due to inspection failures, and for futures warranty returns. As usual, it's all about money!

Might be true, but, if so, that means they have lied to me on numerous occasions. I have asked them that question in no uncertain terms and got the reply that customer location had no bearing on delivery timing. I know of several others in this same position (VIN issued, but no delivery estimate) that live in areas that have had GT’s delivered and are much closer to SC’s. The person I am now dealing with at Lucid even bragged about how he was surprised at how far-flung the owner group was and that he even dealt with a guy in Arkansas who received his Lucid.

I think PSTom might have gotten a spot from someone who cancelled. It just amazes me that they are delivering March confirmation dates when Grey still is so far behind. I wonder if they still have a grey-specific issue??? I just wish they would communicate.

You are probably right. 4 weeks from the vin date to delivery is much too short for a routine production pathway in this current production and inspection environment. But I would guess that PSTom got the cancelation instead of someone else because he lived closer to a SC than someone else did. The guy in NC (amorroso6) had an earlier VIN date with the same car specs as PSTom but no delivery as far as I know.

BTW, my DA told me that location was a factor in VIN assignment but he didn't know how much weight it carried in the decision process. He was vague, but at least he didn't mislead (aka lied) me.
 
Our AGT is scheduled for delivery this Wednesday, June 15 @ 10am. please add to the tracker.

I have crappy luck with the lottery but on the rare occasions I go to a casino (maybe once every ten year), I come out with cash.

Good for you on your luck this time. There are a lot of angry and frustrated people here (and rightfully so) but their anger is with Lucid, not you. Enjoy your car.

Be careful at the casinos, they didn’t build those gaudy properties off you winning.

There really is no telling. It’s all speculation right now. Those 100 or so cars sitting at Casa Grande have been there for quite some time and from what @Sandvinsd learned from his DA, they are not going anywhere for a few weeks, at the earliest.

I personally believe those cars are waiting for a part or some parts that are delayed due to supply chain issues. That would account and explain why Lucid can’t give us any more insight on our delivery timeframes . They hope to get the parts by x date, but there is no telling if they will make that date or pass inspection. Again, it’s all speculation without any communication.

The people taking delivery now are probably from the stock that got completed and shipped to the SC’s before they changed the inspection process.

I live in San Diego, confirmed in November last year, recieved a VIN back in April, and still have no car. Since our cars are both being delivered in SoCal, it is not where he lives. Baffling to me.
