There is about at 7C differential between best battery temperature for driving and best temperature for charging with charging being higher. I have no idea how close the car tries to maintain these temperatures. This is a fairly small difference but it you are looking for the fastest charge possible it may make a difference.I'm curious about the pre-conditioning routine. Is this something I should always do before stopping for a charging session? Wouldn't the battery be at the right temperature after driving for multiple hours and not need the pre-conditioning?
