2.4.10 Update

Received three software updates in three days and I am now on 2.4.10! Just got that update this morning. Initially, SiriusXM said it wasn’t authenticated but that fixed itself by this afternoon. Drove with Highway Assist this evening and everything worked fine. Got the three lanes and the dashed lines very quickly. Fell in love with my car all over again!

Although I like the new 3 lanes thing, I am a bit disappointed that ot doesn't show cars behind you or even in your blind spots. Only when the cars are entering your peripheral vision, do they become visible on the display.

I’ve gotten that Sirius authentication message too on several occasions. I have no idea what causes it (poor signal?), but it always does clear.

I am not sure if you have dream drive Pro or premium, but as a guess it might be a challenge as to what the cameras can see and or how much inferencing Orion Drive modules can handle. There is no published information I have found as to what the specific configuration is in these cars, but as a guess, the difference between DD, DDP and DDPre is a one, 2 or 4 Orion Drive SOC configuration. If I am correct, DDP would have 400 TOPS to inference and run the car with while Premium would have 800 TOPS. I wonder what the Premium vs Pro experience has been like.

I have a '23 with DDPro. Since it gives 360 camera view as well as how close objects are to the rear and both rear sides of the car, if they don't eventually do it, it's because of the additional processing load?

Probably not a load issue at this point. I am not sure what cameras we have looking behind the car outside of the ones for the 360 view. I know we have a lot of lidar back there.

There is no LiDAR in the rear, only in the front. The rear has corner radar, ultrasonic sensors and cameras.

I took delivery of a 2025 AGT almost 2 weeks ago. It has version 2.3.10 of the software on it. Are there still people without the latest update? How long is the typical wait before I should expect the update to arrive?

I believe it should have been here already. The best way to text customer service and they should be able to request a push for you or help trouble shoot.

If you are in North America, you should reach out to customer care to ask for the update. It should have been updated before delivery, but you're behind enough that you're not likely to get it without asking now. General guidance is don't bother asking until at least 2 weeks after the update has begun to roll out, but you're well past that.
If you're not in the North America, I'm not sure when the update is rolling out to other regions.

Quick update on HA issues with the software update

HA is now appearing for me after I took it in for service. They had to replace several cameras that were needed for the upgraded HA software. So if you can’t get HA to show up, that’s probably why.
Thanks for the update. Got a service based on this info. Looks like they need to do some hardware replacements.

After driving with 2.4.10 for a cpl weeks, 2 things I’ve noticed (but don’t have solid evidence of): 1) range seems to be better!? I have a 23 at and am seeing 4.1-2 just driving around without being extra cautious/light on the right pedal! And 2) it seems the regen is not as harsh from 50-60mph as it was. Ie, driving around and see a light coming up, usually if I let off the gas the regen will break pretty hard, but recently I’ve noticed I need to tap the breaks a little cause it wasn’t slowing down fast enough.
Other than that - things seems to work. Have got the 2 dotted lanes yet so haven’t tried lane changes yet

Problems and observations after 2.4.10

1. Audio has cut on me twice. Both instances, I had tidal playing and used the turn signal. Came back after a few minutes.

2. Soft close intermittently stops working. This has happened many times. Then returns without sleep. I have been unable to replicate.

3. Miles/kwh as reported by “since last charge”. Seems to have improved. About 5%. But also noticed that calculation may have also changed. Can others verify?

4. Most importantly button pressing lag. After 2.4.4 it improved dramatically. The app, tidal buttons, and car door were nearly instantaneous. Just like my microwave oven. Now it has pretty much returned to where it was before 2.4. So sad. Hoping the next update “fixes” this.

Took the Touring to L.A. after the update. Had to navigate from Monrovia to Westwood - 36 miles. It took 1hr 25min (yep, that's the L.A. I remember lol!). Put the car in HA, and the car unbelievably "drove" me there with both feet on the floorboard. I notice the steering wheel keeping me centered in my lane; of course, I had to keep my hand(s) on it or get the chime/warning. All in all, it made rush hour driving in L.A. seem tolerable.

It makes navigating Atlanta traffic bearable too. It works very well now.

Follow-up to my problems accessing the car that happened to have been right after the 2.4.10 update. The service center verified the inoperative key fobs was not due to the software update, but a faulty security mode module. The key fobs were also replaced.

The Houston service center's concern for my car is stellar, great crew!

I'm in a loaner right now on the old software, and my god the amount I miss new HA is insane. It's so much better.

Can't wait to see what else DDPro will do in future updates. Any teasers?
