1.2.6 OTA Out

Nooooo...... You speak crazy! Who on earth would think that is a good idea? 🤭

Sarcasm aside, I don't know why data through USB wasn't allowed day 1! Lucid has auto veterans working for them so not sure what they were thinking on this one.
When asked they were concerned about someone accessing their subsystems via a Hardwire connection.

Given how buggy the software has been that doesn't surprise me at all. One less thing to worry about if you isolate the system from someone plugging in a laptop etc.

As others have suggested, I'm wondering if it's an issue due to allowing the hi-fi quality with the release. My guess is that the Tidal app or Lucid or both doesn't handle poor wi-fi signals well. Instead of buffering and then continuing to play after better wi-fi returns, I'm betting that this is the behavior. Terrible behavior to be sure, but was it introduced because of the update or is the fact that the update allowed for higher quality, more bandwidth intensive music manifesting the problem a lot more regularly? Either way, it has definitely been an issue.
I highly doubt this behavior was introduced for the update. The theory that it’s just more susceptible to the same issue Atmos had now that it’s higher bandwidth then before makes the most sense to me.

Likely, as you said, they are not doing a great job buffering and it’s causing issues. This is the reason I gave up on Tidal and went back to Spotify (that and I don’t like the tidal interface or auto playlists as much)

I am doing 1.2.6 OTA in a few hours, fingers crossed for any issue.

Lost 11% SOC in 27 days parked in garage, not sure if this is a normal range. Houston’s summer is hot.

10 minutes after started update, it is still sitting at 0%, is this normal?

And the car is locked while it is updating and can only be viewed progress from outside as this beauty is ignoring me in phone app in its beast mode.

Oh, there is Lucid mobile app 1.15.0 new version too, will do that after this 1.2.6 firmware update. I thought I just updated the app right before I left the states. Looks like a lot of process happening when I don’t check the car everyday.

1 hour 35 min. The last progress jumped straight from 48% to 100%, only used 1% SOC. Now I’m trying to figure out what is different.

Now Navigation load up faster and can even bring info for phone call and 3D view. This is dope. I also noticed Tidal is smoother in buffering connection.

This is way better when traveling to National Parks or Forests.

Does anyone have any info on how much memory there is to download offline?

Well, it's at least 3 gigs because I have CA, NV, and AZ downloaded lol

Hmmm, my navigation map doesn't look anything like these. Mine have not changed from the prior presentation. Are these screens from your downloaded modules or are they the now native rendering from 1.2.6?

Not sure, but I did navigation to Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas, it did brought up the actually hotel 3D rendering + neighbor hotels such as Caesar Palace and Eiffel Tower and even show me routes to each charger stop like Tesla navigation does. (And I don’t have Nevada map downloaded offline)

Has anyone noticed a sudden upward reading for mi/kwh after 1.2.6? Before that OTA, I would variously get 2.5 to 2.8 average readings depending upon my driving methods. Immediately after the 1.2.6 download, my reading was "3" and has remained above 3.0 pretty much ever since -- regardless of smooth or sprint modes; short or long distances; and AC full blasting. Rather odd.

Anyone else's observation?

Well, just used it locally and got flat graphics. Do I need to switch anything to get the 3-D renderings you show on the top display?

This is MASSIVE navigation improvement from 1.2.1 version. You can click on any interesting point and get basic information of each point + traffic information. There was 1.2.2, 1.2.3, 1.2.4, 1.2.5 four versions skipped OTA for whatever reason, I’m sure they focused a lot of navigation last few weeks as early adopters complained about UX.

I think they only show 3D for significant landmark locations, or very high buildings.

Mine is still the similar, except it no longer display “3.0”, but rather use integer “3”, it can fluctuate between “2.9” and “3.1”. I managed to briefly seen “3.5 mi/kWh” today but regen more at 55mph. I only improve some efficiency by changing setting to basically for 1-pedal driving for high degenerative brake. I think this setting absorb more energy back to battery for slightly longer range. 10% more efficiency to get used to this setting is good enough for me.

OK, thank you. I'll pay more attention to see what I may be missing!

I am only seeing minor, but good, changes. Still slow.
