    The Signet shuffle?

I notice that at a grouping of Signet 150 chargers (see pix below), I get a rapid charge rate oscillation between 54kW and 75-90kW. This up & down charge rate goes on for several minutes before resuming a higher charge rate of about 100kW while at about a 50% SOC. I recall this being a known...

Callout to anyone in the NY area-Clean Pass

I'm having a weird issue that I've never had with any other EV I've owned. I've always had a Clean Pass sticker for the high occupancy lanes on Long Island and never had a problem getting one. For some reason I got a rejection from the NY DMV saying the Clean Pass is only for EVs & Hybrids. This...

Dead 3 week old FOB battery & question

As a result of reading the forum it wasn't a great surprise when my 3 week old fob's battery (3 weeks in my possession, who knows how long in total?) died this morning and would not open the door. I had previously ordered a bunch of these batteries in anticipation and thus replaced the battery...

    RESOLVED Ambient Lighting issue

I just picked up my Lucid Air Pure today. Thus far I’ve been very impressed with the QC except for one issue, the ambient lighting. When I go into the ambient lighting menus, I can change themes but there is no ambient lighting in the footwells or doors. Concurrent with this is the fact that the...

Why is Lucid not going to this Expo?

There is an ‘Electrify Expo’ on August 12-13 at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island. You can see from the screenshot below that Lucid is conspicuously absent, but not many other EV makers. If true, this is a missed opportunity for Lucid to capture the attention of precisely the audience they’re...

    Significant price drop!

I got an email this morning about a significant price drop on my order that will show up in my portal within the next few days. Out of curiosity I checked the currently or soon to be available cars to get a hint of what might be in the offing and sure enough there was a very significant change...

I tried one of the Tesla SCs

Although I'm not a current owner of a Lucid, I thought this might be of some interest to the group. The only Tesla SC open to non-Teslas on L.I., and one of the few in the country, happens to be about 15 minutes from my house. So I finally thought I'd give it a try with my Electrified Genesis...

It's been a really difficult decision

As some of you may know, I've had a Lucid Pure on reservation since 1/21 and have looked forward to it ever since. We test drove the car once and really enjoyed it. However, for a variety of reasons, I've decided not to proceed further at this point. We test drove the Genesis electrified G80...

A question for those with higher mileage Lucids

I’m wondering how the Lucid is holding up in terms of body tightness. If the car started out as rattle-free, is it still free of rattles & squeaks after a number of miles? I ask only because that’s one thing that really helps destroy my enjoyment of a car. I remember it wasn’t long before my...

    EA price increase

So in celebration of the fine service EA has been offering across the country, they're celebrating with a price increase. Enjoy.

Consumer Reports First Look at the Air

I just noticed this in the new issue of CR. I didn't hit any potholes in my test drive, so I can't comment on their perception of how the car handled this:

A question on the sensitivity of the parking sensors

The Lucid is a relatively large car and my 2 car garage is a decent size, but not overly large. I did have a Model S, so I know that size car can fit fine and the Lucid is the same length. My concern centers around the parking sensors and how sensitive they are as they detect walls & objects...

Will EA be the death of EVs?

OK, just a bit of an exaggeration, but... My wife and I took a ride out to East Brunswick, NJ, to visit her sister, about 110 miles from us. Coming back, although I could have easily made it on my i4's initial charge, I decided to try an EA station very close to my wife's sister's house. The...

    First test drive- First impressions

So after almost 2 years from placing my reservation, I finally got a chance to test drive the car. This was an AT, and although I had reserved a Pure, this was fine since I just wanted some initial observations and comparisons to my i4. My previous EVs have been a Tesla MS, I-Pace and e-Tron...

    Metal roof interior shot

I'm not sure if this has been discussed prior, but I've never noticed this before on the Lucid website. The interior shots of the metal roof configuration appear bizarre to me. There appears to be, for lack of a better descriptive, 'cutouts' in the interior roof. I've never seen an interior roof...

    BMW iX light changing sunroof

Sat in an iX the other day and was very impressed with the light changing ability of the sunroof. I've never seen anything like that before. You change the degree of light transmission from clear to semi-opaque. Very very cool feature. The curved display screens were also very impressive.

    Why no real reviews?

Aside from one or two, there are really no in-depth reviews by major reviewers on the Lucid that I’m aware of. Puff pieces don’t count. The other car I’m interested in, the BMW i4, has so many in-depth reviews, I literally cannot keep up with them...and that car hasn’t even been released yet in...

    An interesting observation

No matter what forum you spend time on, whether it's cars, cameras, high end audio & video gear, it doesn't matter, this same human behavior can be observed over & over. First time posters will register on the forum to tell you why you've made a terrible decision, why you must be a dullard to...

    Adaptive headlights finally legal

This is great news for our woefully outdated headlight regulations (and headlights) in the U.S. We will finally start to see cars with adaptive headlights before too long. https://www.motor1.com/news/567740/adaptive-headlights-nhtsa-approval/
