UX 2.5 OTA Update

The answer to this is a definite no. There simply is not a way for you to skip an update, especially as it is unclear when a new update will 'fix' any of the sound issues people are having. Rest assured they are listening and working on it, as discussed in this thread, but please install the update. It is a bad idea to fall too far behind.
Well it seems to be a lot of bugs with this update. Most people have had issues with the sound distorting, being harsh, too loud, over whelming bass as well as problems with their cameras. I'll pass.

You really shouldn’t skip updates because that may impede your ability to receive future updates. Lucid is good at taking feedback and they will fix any nagging issues.

Yes, lots of people are seeing, including me, and yes it is a software bug.
Glad it's not just me. I've had them go out twice in the last week after not seeing that bug for almost a year. When I restart the car after parking it for a bit, they're back.

Well, I don't think Lucid should force people to be stuck with something they don't want. I am pretty happy with the Surreal Sound Pro the way it is. I would rather not be forced to live with a 81,000. car with a stereo I don't enjoy. They put a lot of design into the original SSP. Why does have to be changed? Also, audio is way to personal and subjective to do a blanket update for everyone.

The non-Atmos SSP sounds pretty darn good. It’s just a subset of Atmos songs that are a bit off. I have been listening to the audio every day and while there are things I am not thrilled with, there are other listening experiences that are great,

I suspect Lucid will correct any issue in due time; they typically get on it pretty fast.

You may want to check with customer service to make sure it’s OK to skip an update.

We have all had complaints from time to time and they have been mostly addressed in a timely manner.

It is not. You should not skip updates, period. There is a reason that it is in the warranty language.

You should install every update, as you won’t be able to get a newer update until you’ve installed the updates before it.

Did you notice the balance resetting itself to default, every time you start the car? Mine does that. It only loads my custom setting if I tap into the balance settings on the screen, otherwise it completely ignores it. It exists in superposition, like Schroder's cat, until I look at it.
Yep, I have noticed this as well. It doesn’t honor it after a sleep until you are back in the menu for balance.

I have found the update to be rock solid and I think the sound is excellent. Just another data point.

I believe this update is one of the first that may require a companion hardware fix to ensure it sounds as good as possible. It's not supposed to be enabled if you don't have the hardware fix done, but it's possible yours accidentally enabled despite not having the fix actually performed?

Any one having issues with camera since update, i have camera error after driving a bit and that goes only after i lock and wait and unlock the car. This is happening very frequently to me, my mobile tech says this is a software bug and he have no info on when this will be fixed.View attachment 24986
Tesla got in big trouble for this. The backup camera is a required safety feature, so nhtsa said that a fix was needed and Tesla had to issue a recall.

Although I'd like to see it fixed ASAP, I don't quite agree with nhtsa either. If a company is going to have a recall, they have 60 days to send out a notice to affected users. By then, an update could be pushed that fixes the problem. I don't recall the specifics of Lucid's software update policy but Tesla's gives them the right to force a critical update. To my knowledge, they never actually did it though.

Virtually all people will apply an update on their own within a reasonable amount of time, especially if they get an email notification. An on-screen notification of what it fixes might work even better. And those who don't do it based on an email and the car telling them to do it would likely ignore a mailed recall notice anyway.

In this case, Lucid knows about the bug, knows that they have a legal requirement to fix it, and at least in my case, know that I've experienced it. Yet they never took any steps to notify users to warn them to disable the curb rash protection until an update is available. Instead, I have a problem that's a potential safety issue and a simple explanation from Lucid could avoid it.

This is linked to the new curb rash feature in the 2.5.0 update. I got multiple crashes per day so I simply turned the curb rash feature off until the bug is fixed.
Have the camera crashes stopped after you disabled the curb rash feature?

Sorry for being late to this party (wasnt well for a long time) and apologies if this has already been covered on this thread but my search didnt fetch relevant results -

Post 2.5.0, the curb rash protection feature is permanently disabled on my AGT. Now i understand, it is supposed to be disabled in low light conditions but I have always seen it disabled in settings and wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing a similar thing.

Mine works fine. Contact service.

Two recent issues this week on my '23 Touring. 1.) On the highway I was using adaptive cruise and after disengaging it wouldn't allow me to re-engage...it just stayed greyed out on the screen & wouldn't let me cancel it or switch to highway assist. 2.) For the first time ever I couldn't wake the car with the phone at a restaurant. I tried using the app within the restaurant but it wouldn't wake the car despite a strong cell signal & then when I approached the car it wouldn't open & I had to use the credit card.

I’ve encountered this issue when leaving my neighborhood and sometimes when starting the car after parking. I managed to get Adaptive Cruise working, but it’s still running version 2.5.0, and I haven’t received any updates since then. The problem became more frequent after my first drive after the 2.5.0 software update. I’ve tried resetting the system a few times, and it seems to work better now.

There are two different threads going in the this stream of emails. One is about SSPro and the other about key fobs. This post is about key fobs. I'm sure MCR16 is off for Christmas.

I started having problems with charging scheduling after it worked flawlessly since the first update that enabled it. It stopped working so I did a turn signal reset (for some reason the logo reset does not work on my car). Now my key fob no longer works. I try to re-pair it but the car won't recognized it exists. I quickly press twice on the fob, but no luck. The mobile app still works but I don't like having to enter the pin every time I want to drive the car. Any advice?

Incidentally, when I enter the car still recognizes me and correctly adjusts my seat and the steering wheel.
