Lucid Gravity getting ready for Prime Time

A lot of cars/SUVs have very similar lines and styles, but it's the subtle differences that make them really unique, look more premium and worthy of exclusive brands.

For example many have compared the Mazda CX30 to the Ferrari Purosangue because they do have a similar look, but the Ferrari has so many details that make it look amazing and worthy of the astronomical price.

Just like many have said the Air looks like a Buick, but see an Air in person and it has so much more presence and details that make it look amazing.

Weird as Lucid has literally no business there, but South Korea is the home of Kia/Hyundai.. maybe a partnership although thats a huge reach?
 
Also there’s no extreme testing conditions there unless heavy traffic is considered one.
 
On the other hand it might be a good market since the best selling car last year was a full size sedan (Hyundai Grandeur).
 
I don’t think anyone ever really looks at an SUV and says oh my gosh that’s amazing looking . Even the Lamborghini Urus and the Bentley Bentayga don’t look that amazing. it’s all about functionality.

I think the Cayenne comes pretty close to striking looking, and there was a lot of gushing from reviewers about the Gravity's looks at the L.A. Auto Show.

But Bentaygas and Urus, not so much. We've also seen a couple of Rolls Royce Cullinans around Naples. Pretty much an automotive version of a Peterbilt semi tractor in the exterior looks department.

Same for the Bentangya. But the hybrid's sound is cool.
Personally I find the R1S's rugged handsomeness appealing. Clean and functional, though too big for us. Still need to see the Gravity in person.

No idea. The more information that comes out, the more surprised I am at how little carryover there will be from the Air to the Gravity. In fact, although I'm sure there are some, I haven't yet read about or noticed from photos a single carryover component: different platform, different suspension, different size battery pack, different battery cell supplier (except for Air Dream and Sapphire), different motors, different wheels, different dash and infotainment layout, different front seats, different steering wheel, heat pump heating, less interior brightwork on door panels and dash . . . . Even the toggle switch panel under the screen has added keys.

Representing a whole lot of lessons learned from the Air. Gravity should be spectacular, as long as its software is commensurately improved.

True about lessons learned. However, there are some things about the Air I'm going to miss : that amazing coil/semi-active damper suspension (though I'm hanging on to hope it will be available as the base choice on the Gravity Dream); the dual tone front and rear seats; that gorgeous Santa Monica interior; the more subtle use of interior accent lighting; the attractive but restrained brightwork throughout the cabin that exudes a mid-century auto vibe.

Of course, we're keeping our Air, too, so I'll be able to endure the loss . . . .

I hope Dream Drive Pro wouldn't go down the Tesla's path for FSD.
 
Saying that FSD is on a path is a commendable show of generosity.
Hey, it does have a very well defined path that even I know... the path being to "not change it for 3 years and say level 13 self driving will come next month!"
