I had an odd issue that popped up twice on my drive home today. The left pilot screens flashes something yellow / yellow light really fast and then thesteering wheel shakes like a Playstation controller. My auto lane departure is OFF in Dreamdrive so no idea what is happening there.
Sounds like the distracted driver alert.

Software bugs 657-660. Yesterday I got the radio to play an FM station and an Alexa selected station at the same time. Today the backup and overhead camera froze in my driveway. While this has happened many times before it was only for a split second and now every time I back up it defaults to the frozen screen from my driveway. (the overhead view usually is useless as it comes on about 2-5 seconds after I have finished backing up) also today the volume control on the radio, both center and steering wheel stopped working for about half the drive to the gym. It has come back but laggy. I’m currently up to date on software. Screen shot of what I see in reverse, just a static pic of my driveway

I have had this similar freeze. It seems to only happen if I start backing up before the car is completely booted up by my guess. Like after brake pedal, all lights on the glass cockpit come on, and the car loads the cameras. If I start backing up before that, I get freezes or blank screens.

If your volume gets worse, my bet is the MCU needs to be replaced.

Will check after I get out of the gym and the car has been shut off for over 10 minutes. Let’s hope that’s not the case

That makes you the third owner on this forum to experience this (Drendino and I being the others). Thanks for posting, as it might help Lucid figure out the problem. Heretofore, they've said mine is the only car that has had this problem.
They said that? I reported it, so that makes them a lying dog faced pony soldier. 😂

Seriously though, next time you speak with them, maybe you can refer them to this thread.

In fairness, that is what they told me when I reported my second incident of this happening, and that was a couple of months ago.

My car has been at the Service Center since September 26 (just over a week). As usual, they haven't been able to duplicate any of the issues. They still can't tell me when they'll return the car, as they are waiting for instructions from the engineering team.

Basically, except for the first two days of their visit when the car had three software incidents requiring reboots, the car will be out of service the entire time we have guests from overseas and whom we had planned to squire around in the Lucid.

Our Model S Plaid, with its cramped rear quarters, is basically a two-seater for adults -- and at just over 11,000 miles it's developing unsettling squeaks and rattles. And the Lucid, with its constant software issues, is too unreliable to depend on for long outings with passengers. Thank goodness we kept our trusty Honda Odyssey minivan.

I have thought for the past couple of years that I would never buy another ICE vehicle, with a Lucid Gravity as the likely replacement for the Honda. Unfortunately, I'm rethinking that position.

I am guessing you meant August 26th!

That sucks. I’ve still never had that happen. I hope they get it fixed or replace it for you.
I had it happen one time. It is violent and hearing damage loud. I’ve seen this happen in digital audio systems when the amp doesn’t auto-mute during boot up and all 24 bits are filled with digital ones resulting in maximum amplitude signal through all speakers. It’s heart attack inducing. I’m happy it only happened one time in my car and was cured by just locking it with the fob and running away. You cannot tolerate being inside the car when this happens, it’s like torture!

After reboot back to normal until the next bug infestation

Yep, issue with the DAC.

Thanks for sharing and good to know.

Yeah even though it SUCKS I’ve seen this happen with stand-alone audio systems and it’s not exclusive to Lucid, it’s just harder to deal with cuz you’re in the car. I have never seen @hmp10 noise blast problem at any time other than initial boot up, and this is what happens with Digital to Analog converters too when they have the same problem, it’s always on boot up and the auto-mute fails to turn on.

IMO, Model-S is overpriced. It was reasonable high price back then, as Tesla keep jacking up the price, its hardware and interior cabin didn’t change much except that yoke steering and back seat screen. Tesla disappointedly keep focusing on jacking up that beta software instead of improve its materials and quality.

As I mentioned before I've had this happen with my CHORD TT2 and my Woo WA8. Frequent of an implementation problem or a loose wire maybe causing a reading error? On Head-Fi they were saying the noise came from missing info from the beginning of file. Not my wheelhouse so can't describe in detail.

Does anyone know why the overhead lights above the mirror in the cockpit come on at random. A couple of times it is just the passenger side. I do not recall hitting the button to turn them on. Pushing the button turned them off though.

I've had this happen, at the same time said door was open.
