When I reserved the car in early May, the projected delivery was 3Q2022. It's not Lucid's fault the tax credit is ending. But it is Lucid's fault the car wasn't delivered. I have nothing to lose so I'm gonna keep my deposit open in the 1% chance Lucid will be so desperate for a sale that they would be willing to honor the $69.9k price. But yeah, there is a 99% chance I won't be driving a Lucid.

Side question -- is there any chance a RWD Pure base vehicle could be delivered prior to 12/31/2022?

There is also a chance that I have a fine piece of ocean front property to sell you in Phoenix.

Respectfully, this is ridiculous way to compare cars. By your metric, everyone would drive a Prius.

Actually, the two factors @MHDave used - economic and enjoyment - cancel each other out with the Prius. On one hand, I love the Prius but I also hate it. The factors which cause me to hate the Prius is what drove me to the Air and override my love for it.

Buying an expensive electric because you anticipate it being cheaper than an ICE car is silly. Buy a Lucid because you love it and can afford it.

I agree, Bobby. That said, I'll take the fuel savings as an added bonus.
