This is the most crowd I have ever seen in London. Entire Central London is as dense as Disney World EPCOT Center in summer at this point. So much national pride in London that flags and queen’s face are just obiquous . It is safe to say that this nation will not go Republic any time soon.
I was surprised to find out that photosynthesis (sun->plants) is only about 11% efficient, and humans (plants->human motion energy output) are about 25% efficient. So sunlight->human power output on a bike is at best about 2.6% efficient. Solar PV to grid is about 18-20% efficient, and grid to car to motion about 75-80%. This gives about 15% efficiency for sunlight -> car's motion output, six times better than a human on a bike.
Interesting first time seeing Toyota Prius dashboard close up. It switches petro and electric mode based on speed of acceleration and velocity in generation of electricity. #uber
At UK, they are taking Lucid Air reservation but no price is set yet. So my guess this area might take 1 year+ wait. But they are expecting all over Europe delivery. This part of world is also experiencing supply chain bottleneck just as bad as in USA.
I only understand today why Brits don’t like EVs. 90%+ of people don’t have have garage. Most of houses were built predated 1910 before automobiles were born. The later house and midrises, people just park on street. This makes home charging very difficult to own an EV.
Even Model 3 is very rare here. People mostly prefer hybrid.
