Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Touring

Got all my signed documents back on the financing. Signed all the final Lucid stuff, disclosures and whatnot. Insurance settled. Got the "make payment" button in my account. Now I'm just waiting for my DA to tell me the car is on its way to Denver, and I'll be ready to make delivery plans, I guess.

Probably the wrong thread to ask this, but does anyone know how long an ACH transfer would take for my "due at signing" payment to go through? Usually it only takes a day or two for me, but I don't know if Lucid has a history of issues with that? I figure that's a lot easier than going to get a check from the bank, so long as it doesn't cause any delay.

DA just called to say my car was being loaded for delivery maybe as soon as this Friday!

Joe, or anyone else, who did you do your insurance with? I ran a quote through USAA and was floored.

Floored in a good way, or bad?

I stayed with State Farm. Despite the much higher value of the Lucid compared to my Long Range Model 3, my rate only went up by about $30 or so per month. And I'm about to hit 3 years with them accident-free, so I'm going to get an additional 15% discount soon. (Knock on wood.)

AND my policy includes windshield replacement. Hoping they never find out how expensive the Air windshield is to replace. (At least not from me.)

Today I wire transferred cash for my GT and it showed up in a few hrs. However the smaller BA loan amount is nowhere to be seen in spite of approval last Friday. Have calls in about this. I think ACH is 2-3 days.

I plan on bringing an old-fashioned cashiers check from my BofA account for the cash portion ... I'll fund the rest from a loan from Parson's CU (currently 3.79%) ! (shakes cane at sky)!! This will at least give me peace of mind if something is not right with the vehicle when I arrive to pick it up.

My DA has been out of office for a few days. Called the Lucid direct sales line and spoke with someone who told me a VIN has been assigned to my car, but he wasn't able to share it with me and sent a note to my DA to reach out. So not quite VIN assigned yet (because I haven't seen it) but probably 85% of the way there.

Even I see financing/lease button in my account. Does that mean a VIN is assigned?mine is ZR/Tahoe
It's raining loans! Also just got the proverbial “Apply for…” button today, Zenith Red/Santa Cruz. Finalized 11/5. Hopefully, raining Touring deliveries soon.

For all those getting the Apply for Financing buttons, if you are planning on going through Lucid Financial, I'd recommend starting the process soon. If not immediately, then immediately after you get your VIN. Took longer than I was expecting for mine to get finalized. Approval was relatively quick, but just paperwork-wise, it was about a week before it was all settled. Many phone calls, too, with folks just checking in to see if I understood how to do eSignatures and such. Weird. I guess they get a fair number of computer-phobic applicants.

And I think given how many of you are getting that button, they are likely to be very busy the next few weeks.

They guarantee the terms for 45 days, not the usual 30. So you are relatively safe even if the car takes a while to get to you.

I see lots of discussion of paying first, is there an option to see the car first, make sure it’s all good, and then wire?

I talked to my DA this morning who asked if I would be okay with 20s if I could move my delivery up. I told him yes without doing any real due diligence. What do you like about them? I live in San Diego so summer is not an issue. Do you think they are a good balance between looks, performance, and range?
I think you would love the 20’s. Yes, it will have less range, but it will still be better than pretty much anything else out there. Looking forward to seeing more Lucids in SD!

Is Lucid Financial actually housed at Lucid? It sounded like was it was just BofA but branded with Lucid's name?

Question for brand new Air Touring Owners - Did the cars come loaded with latest software update? Thanks!
Funny you ask because my original delivery date was last Wednesday but has been delayed due to problems with the latest update. I was told it may be ready by this Friday

May I inquire about the interest rate offered by Lucid financial?. Thanks
