Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Touring

Upgraded from pure.
Touring QG/Tahoe
20 inch wheels
NO DDP NO SSP
VIN received 2/10/23

I see the metal roof is now 'Q1 2023'. Has anyone received one yet? DA does not respond to e-mail. Maybe her in-box is full...
My DA had told me that production would start in mid March, deliveries in April, for the metal roof. My theory, however, since that story was before the $7,500 incentive, is that many people will change their orders to a glass canopy, or from Pure to glass canopy Touring and try to get into the Q1 production cycle to take advantage of the incentive. This will likely push out metal roof production until mid-Q2.

Just got mine delivered today!
I finalized on Oct 26 2022, got the vin Dec 26 2022, and picked up today in Millbrae.
nice how is 20 inch wheel drive? I've seen too many 19 inches Pirelli wheels being popped on this thread and am worried. I live in the south and I really don't need all-weather tires.

I honestly love the 20 inches. Granted I've only driven 100 miles so far, but everything felt great. They're Michelins, and I personally had better experience with Michelins than Pirellis before.

The 19s are the least likely to have a blowout because they have the highest sidewall. This is followed by the 20s, then the 21s. Hit any pothole hard enough and the tire can pop, no matter the size. Such is the price laid driving a 5000+ lb machine around.

One more ordering experience. Placed order 2/6, received VIN 2/8 for Touring in Grey delivering to Costa Mesa. Called delivery rep to get the price re-done with $7500 credit and scheduled for delivery next Friday. Ultimate price with tax and everything around $117k so pretty happy with the price and (promised) delivery speed.
Interior color - roof - options - tire size for tracker? I assume CA?

She's beautiful!

My touring model finally arrived Friday morning at the Houston service center….I made sure to send payment a day before via Fedex, that way they would get it before the weekend …The service manager said once the deal is funded , I can take delivery of the car….I was able to get to check the car out in person today but was not allowed to test drive….The Quantum Grey is truly a spectacular color especially with the Mojave interior…The 2 tone roof is starting to grow on me…I am also happy the side mirrors are body color .Here are couple pics I took.

I assume glass roof.
That is correct.

My wife and I found the grey to be quite dark, and the silver was beautiful. (But so is the grey.) Picked the silver.
I, too, switched to glass canopy, although it was tough to give up the extra sun protection, but with the credit, my total cost went down $3,500+. @moytoyx please adjust my order from metal to glass. Thanks
Aaaaannnddd ... @moytoyx VIN received. That was quick. Now I need to get some electricity wired, sooner than expected.

Are you on OG pricing ? Mine was delivered a week prior to announcing…
Yes. That's fully loaded plus extra for Zenith Red and 21's. They took the $7,500 off that configuration which also included the destination charge. My taxes are wrong tho so I'm going to reach out to my DA and request the extra $450 in taxes as an additional refund.

Picked my AT yesterday at the Millbrae,CA service center.

Here is my configuration:
Touring
Quantum Gray
Mojave Lux (that is what Lucid called on the car window sticker)
20 inches wheel
Glass canopy
Surreal Sound non-pro
Drive Drive Pro

How’s was my delivery experience on might ask?

Here was my overall experience at the Millbrae, CA service center:
• On Friday, my assigned DA called me and discussed about the final details of the purchase agreement. He stated that he will off on Saturday and that someone will assist me with my delivery.
•Upon arriving at Millbrae, I couldn’t get over the fact there wasn’t any customers parking at all. There were numerous Air parked in the available parking space on site but no parking for customers. Unfortunately, street parking a were mostly taken up by customers from the strip mall across the street from the service center. So I drove around couple minutes looking for parking.
• Went into the service center. I was greeted my a Studio advisor at the reception desk. He introduced himself and stated that he will get the delivery process started. He pointed out that there are coffee and water around the corner and off he went. My guess was that whoever occupied the reception desk would also act as a delivery advisor and a studio advisor.
• looking around inside, the show room was nice, contemporary, stylist modem as one would expect from a new car company. The building combined service center and show room is kind of small.
• the SA pulled my car up behind the glass wall with a glass door. The SA came out and I signed my DMV documents. The SA escort Ed inside and go over the car, features, function. I walked around and inspected the car. Overall not may gap issues or miss-alignment issues except for the rear number on driver side. It was a few millimeters off comparing to the rear bumper on passenger side. The biggest issues I have found while inspecting the car was little scratches here and there. There was also 2 finger imprints on the driver side rear cam rail. It appeared as if someone accidentally put 2 fingers there to check on if paint/clear coat was dry or wet.
• I wrong down all the scratches and finger print issue. The SA give me an option of either leave my car with them and service center will attempt to fix all those issue or drive my car and bring it back at later time. The SA also stated that if I leave my car there, it could be weeks or even a month later before I could get my car back. So I decided to bring it back later.
• After gone over the car, I drove the car home. Overall experience, it was like ordering something from Amazon and went to delivery center to pick up online order. Lucid delivery service doesn’t live up to the Lucid luxury brand. There is a lot of work to be done there.

I don’t get how they can let those scratches get through on delivery. To me that is unacceptable, as not like they are delivering loads of cars that they can’t look them more closely and fix everything that is wrong before delivery. How would they make it right for people like me that are not close to a delivery center? I can’t imagine delivering a car like that at a BMW, Audi, Mercedes or Porsche dealership, which is supposed to be the upscale market that Lucid is targeting.
