Gravity Orders Discussion

I'm curious, what do you guys all like about the Aurora Green? :) Is it cause it's the only one that was extensively shown on videos under different light conditions, while others are a blind bet?

I've seen it in person and found it to have subtle shifts in hue depending on the surroundings, which I like in a car. The green picks up silvery vibes in sunlight and deeper greens in shadow. I've also seen the Lunar Titanium in person and, although I've never been a fan of silver cars, this one was so nice that we actually considered ordering it until I noticed it is not available at launch. The Supernova Bronze looked good, too, on the color block and was in the running. But we decided against it because it would be the third vehicle in a row we've had in that color.

I was also swayed by the number of journalists who have reported the Aurora Green to be their favorite color. The only possible downside is that green tones are one of those "fashion colors" that cycle in and out of currency in the automotive world -- as attested by the recent surge of greens across all car brands -- and in a few years it might look a little dated. But so what? It's a nice color, and even if we keep this car longer than we typically do, it will remain just as nice.

Great context, thank you!

Also, appreciate your take on Titanium - that's what I ordered, and I think the configurator shows a completely wrong tone, as all the videos that had a demo in this color look different. I also like that it's a late delivery as my current lease is through end of May25, and I want to make sure Gravity doesn't arrive too early. Although I might be overly optimistic about Lucid's timeline...

I did the black, surprised I’m not seeing others
Congrats. The black is very nice. I actually like Gravity in black more than Air in black.

The couch or guest room can get lonely in the winter! 😂
Especially in Philly, getting jiggy with it (are the kids still saying that since the Chris Rock incident?)

I wonder how much longer of a wait the silver would be, does anyone have any clue as to when they would start delivering the current color ways? Btw I currently have a lucid air in graphit and is on 18 month lease and love it! Just want something a little more friendly for families and cargo since I have two toddlers, but maybe I’m just making an excuse lol

Look like i'm the only one getting stellar white? is that closer to pearl white or flat white?

I just realized I forgot to add dynamic handing. I will have to add it.
Didn't order the dream drive Pro because of the bad experience I had from what Tesla promised about the FSD capabilities.
Kept Mojave Purluxe because I hate the wood look of the other options. I wish they have carbon fiber trim options for wood.
I'm coming from Model X.

Not sure that the spatial sound system makes sense either. What are people's experience from the Air?

It's closer to a Pearl white without as much Beige tones
SS Pro is great, especially now!

This was my other top-contender color (white car with stealth appearance).
I think it's the exact same white as on Air, so you can find videos / pictures of white airs to see what you're getting.

You may find yourself changing your mind. HA had already gotten pretty fantastic just in the most recent update, and Peter just said hands-free is coming on the earnings call, while simultaneously making a little subtle jab at that other EV company by also saying that he doesn’t believe you should say things are coming unless they really are.

So it sounds like in a matter of weeks or months, not years, we’ll have hands-free. Gravity will ship with it.

It’s not FSD, but neither is “FSD.” :)
(and Lucid isn’t promising FSD)

Does any know if either short hills showrooom in Jersey or the Manhattan showroom have a gravity on display? I’ve yet to catch one up close.

We're on our second Tesla and didn't opt for FSD on the second one because of our bad experience with Tesla actually removing features from our first Tesla's Extended Autopilot (the most-advanced ADAS system it offered at the time).

Our Lucid Air experience has been different, with more ADAS features being activated regularly.

No one who has bought FSD since its inception has ever had the Level 4 functionality it hyped, and there are serious questions about vision-only ADAS that suggest they never will.

Lucid, on the other hand, has never suggested Dream Drive Pro will move beyond Level 2+ or Level 3 capability, and they are getting there steadily with OTA updates.

I wouldn't judge Lucid by any Tesla standard.

I'm still a few years out from looking at a Gravity seriously. Most likely, i'm in the market for the touring. So far, this community seems to be all in on a fully specced GT. For a HUD, Ambient lighting and 3 120v sockets, I think $3200 is quite steep.

What i'd be curious about is the packaging differences between Grand Touring and Touring.. In the Air, that was in the rear passenger foot well. Anyone have thoughts on what the difference might be for a Gravity?

From sitting in the second row of the Gravity I don't think there is any utility for deeper footwells as there was in the Air, as Gravity seating is higher. In fact, deeper footwells might be awkward. Beyond that, I think the packaging differences probably lie in the choice of 5- vs. 7-passenger seating, with the 5-seat model leaving space for a deep storage well even with the rear cargo floor flat -- and that is not a function of Touring vs. Grand Touring.

This is total speculation on my part, and usually, I don’t know what the heck I am talking about! Could it be possible for Touring to be shipped with at least one Atlas powertrain in addition to a regular motor or possibly both Atlas? I was listening to Peter in the Cars and Culture podcast, and he mentioned Turing in late 2025. If so, I thought Atlas with a smaller battery pack could be possible to offset the cost, and that, combined with his comments on Gravity fully ramped up in 2026, made me think there could be more in the store. Using Atlas would be a vast confidence-boosting factor before the mass production of Lucid Earth midsize.

What do you all think?

I would agree with you were I not so excited for the HUD; the Gravity HUD is likely to be pretty incredible, based on what I’ve seen so far.

Otherwise I agree.

So am I the first Quantum Grey? That means mine will be first off the line, or last. But seriously, I was really looking for a blue exterior, none of these colors really impressed me online (maybe in person).
