I hope I get the Gravity GT by Christmas because we're going on a family trip to Vegas. :) It'll be about 260 miles commute and what better way to "break" in a new vehicle than to take it on a little road trip. :)

I wish you luck (and me, too), but I don't see any signs that's in the cards as the earlier references to deliveries in late 2024 have disappeared from all Lucid communications and been replaced with references only to production starting before year end.
 
I've been anxiously awaiting Gravity so I can get out of my Tesla Model S P100D. This will be my first Lucid, but my wife is considering selling her 2022 Model 3 LR and getting the midsize Lucid when it is available. No more Teslas.

Not to burst your bubble, but I'd say there's almost no chance. At best, I'd imagine only a select few VIPs will get their Gravity before year end to say they delivered this year. Deliveries otherwise won't begin in earnest until 2025.
 
Oh well, just being hopeful, but if not the Gravity, we'll be taking the Air this year.

I've been asking my sales advisor this question for months, and he confirmed today that it will be NACS. No CCS in early deliveries as rumored.
 
I should have also noted that they did not have an answer for what the max charging rate will be on a Tesla Supercharger. Not all the sales reps understand the reasons for the 50kw limit with Air, but one of the local reps does, and he said there is no answer yet but he believes they are working on it. If they are starting production soon you'd think they would have figured this out by now, so I am hoping it is just a communication delay internally. We'll see. It would be pretty embarrassing for Lucid to have the slowest-charging EVs on a Supercharger, especially with a native NACS port.

Yeah, I think it will be something like the October event they did for the Air Dream launch. 20 cars or something and then more ramp up in Q1 2025.

Fingers crossed the ramp up is a little more smoother than the Air though.

Wow I drive nearly 200 miles a day and use it non stop. I think it’s absolutely fantastic and yes there are weaknesses in the system but for general lane keeping and cruise mixed I’d put it against any system out there period.

Really on the fence between Aurora Green and Supernova Bronze. But the last two Honda Odysseys we've had were almost the same color as the bronze, so maybe it's time for a change. The only issue is that I saw a Green Gravity in Miami and held the interior color boards up to it. My favorite interior color, Ojai, seemed to clash just a bit. However, since you usually don't see the two colors right on top of each other, that's the way we went.

I am also in this exact same quandary…. Very hard to tell what the right call is.

I'm a little surprised the orders placed so far in this thread don't include the towing package. If the plan is to lease and you don't tow, then I get that saving the $750 is worth it. But if you are buying, the $750 gives you that added flexibility, and likely increases resale. I suspect that adding towing to a Gravity aftermarket will be a challenging and expensive endeavor. I'm not judging, just throwing that out there.

Kind of like 3rd row seating. If it folds flat and you don’t need it you’ll for sure get your money back on resale. Check price differences 5 seat and 7 seat model x’s…. Large large gaps.

Not to tell you what to do, but I’d highly recommend upgrading to DreamDrive Premium. The surround camera system in the Air makes it so much easier to maneuver such a wide car, and the Gravity is that much larger. They’re high quality cameras and are really a great quality of life upgrade. But just my 2 cents.

They quote 200mi in 15 minutes in a couple of places. That should give an idea on charging speed. There's a chance that they are quoting a rate only achievable on a CCS charging station, but unless they include a CCS adapter with the car that would be misleading or should at least have a footnote.

So, 200mi in 15 minutes on NACS? What does that translate to? 200 / 440 * 118 / 15 * 60 == 214.5kW assuming it can hold that for all of the 45% gained? Probably more like 250kW peak?

Hang on - there is a footnote: "15 minute charge speed estimate for Grand Touring equipped with 20/21" wheels. All estimates only when connected to 350 kW DC fast charger. Actual rates will vary based upon vehicle equipment and charging conditions. Preproduction specifications; subject to change"

Another reference point - the Tesla Supercharger page quotes 200mi/15min in several places.

There's an allusion there to range differences based on wheel size. One of the range factors relating to wheels is tire width which, unlike with the Air, is the same for all three wheel sizes on the Gravity. So that leaves tire rolling resistance and wheel face aerodynamics as the most significant remaining factors.

If the difference in range between the wheels is enough to change the 200-miles-in-15-minutes charging claim (which is probably a rounded off figure), it's likely significant. I really hope we'll see official EPA numbers on the Gravity before we have to lock down our final orders.
 
I notice that the Gravity rear sunshades are not mentioned as being powered as they are in the Air. Any idea whether they will be?
 
You guys have really derailed this thread from just posting orders...=)
