New Prices Live - Including Options...

Add in the Model 3 wiring one also, or was that last year?

Not sure. I could not find a unified list of all EV recalls for the past year, so I just looked up individual brands I remembered hearing something about, or (in the case of the the Air and the Model S) experienced myself.

In my case, our Air turned out not to have the defects the recalls aimed to address. The Tesla did have the airbag defect. In fact, when they came to the house to replace the defective unit, they found the replacement unit was also defective and had to order another one.

Price are getting out of hand. Will be hard for Lucid to attract many new buyers, at least my opinion with prices going up so much. Especially, as most will think it is an unproven brand or have not even heard of it.
Ever looked at a Porsche options list? :)

This will be the interesting thing. Will Lucid and others drop the prices when things stabilize or will they keep the new pricing because people have accepted it.......
I purchased my first Tesla S90D for $113k in 2016. By 2018 the S100D which was better all around was $90k and my value plummeted. I can't see these prices staying if Lucid actually plans on hitting the production targets they put out. The price is too expensive and I had a Grand Touring on order which I am probably going to cancel before the end of the month. I cant see spending $140k on a car with a recession coming. Would be a smarter move to hold on to my money in case things start falling apart when the Fed raises rates another few times.

(LUCID SALES AND MARKING MEETING +/- A YEAR AGO):

VP Sales: "We think the Grand Touring should be priced at $139,000, and the Touring at $95,000"

Peter: "why?"

VPS: "Because the GT is .3 seconds faster 0--60"

long pause----

Peter: "for $45k, will the customer really know?"

longer pause---

Peter: "Take the massage seats out of the Turing..."

I will never not be upset about that

The audio price increase seems heafty...
I think audio is usually pricy. In Lexus the Mark Levinson I believe is 4K or more. I believe it Costs about that much to replace on an a MB

Personally I feel that the Lucid Air is the closest thing to a Porsche Tycan in the EV market right now, and the variants between the two brands are priced pretty much priced the same with the Air having a greater range. Lucid has more options included in the base price of their model variants compared to a Tycan that has similar variants (base, S, Turbo etc). As long as the dependability and quality is there, its the first time I can remember an American car able to compete with a Porsche at many levels, or even get close for that matter.. Good to see!

I just did a quick internet search to see which EVs have had recalls in the past year:

Lucid Air (2)

Mercedes EQS (2)

VW ID.4 (2)

Tesla Model S

Rivian R1T

GMC Hummer EV

Chevrolet Bolt

Hyundai Ioniq 5

Kia EV6

It would be very hard to purchase an EV that has not been the subject of a recent recall.

There are many types of recalls. There are recalls for relatively minor problems and recalls that suggest don't drive the car. There are also recalls where manufacturers have chosen to do so and recalls where the government has forced the manufacturer to do the recall (obviously I prefer to deal with the former).

I have yet to see Price drops on Auto’s. Some may discount them more if they do not sell well. To be seen how the Price affects reservation. I think they will try to balance these with International reservations. I expect US reservations to slow down due to delivery issues and the Economy.

I've owned four Porsches and loved them all. I tracked one for five years. I was all set to purchase a 2021 Taycan 4S and "fortunately" the dealer pulled a bait and switch on me in regard to the price and I walked. I had driven the Taycan multiple times and really liked it a lot. However, I also had a deposit on the Lucid and subsequently upgraded to the Dream Edition. As much as I loved all my Porsches and the Taycan, this car is far superior to all of them in multiple ways (comfort, acceleration, roominess, storage, and range). Further the handling is more aggressive and better than the Taycan 4S and I suspect equal or just slightly less than the Turbo S (which the Lucid also beats in acceleration). Given all of the above I owe the Porsche dealer a sincere thank you for being an asshole!!

But it's not a Porsche so it's inferior according to the Out of Spec review.

Wow quite the endorsement given your extensive experience with Porsche!

I just received email from Fisker offering me an opportunity to place an order and lock in the 7500 Tax credit and the 250 refundable deposit will be converted into a non refundable order for delivery in Jul 23. I hope Lucid does the same. I will make Ocean Extreme my 2nd EV instead of waiting for Gravity.

That's pretty smart considering they haven't delivered a single car.

I got the same email...If you read it closely Fisker isn't taking the position this locks in the tax tax credit they say it "may" work).

Fisker is taking all opportunities to take $ without delivering. 😂

Yeah, I think it would be a mistake for Lucid to promise this. Frankly, the loss in credibility when your account tells you the tax rebate won’t work isn’t worth the risk. Take the hit now. Remove all references to tax credits from the web site. And let the people who are going to cancel cancel.

I don't know....I went ahead and entered the "binding agreement" with Fisker this AM. Per the fine print, our agreement is binding---but if I default their sole remedy is keeping my $250 deposit (i.e no specific performance). Whether this arrangement is what the Act (and the IRC) contemplates as a "binding agreement" only time will tell---but it only costs me 250 to find out, and I'd probably roll the dice to the tune $1000 with Lucid in the same way.

Frankly, I doubt it will work. But if there exists already a clear tax court case or Rev Ruling saying it doesn't work, I also doubt Fisker's law firm would advise them to suggest a sham solution (maybe wishful thinking here).

Anyway--anyone filing a 2023 return with >300k income AND claiming the 7500 credit is probably begging to get audited!
