Not exactly a new member, but pretty new-ish. Just picked up our Touring a couple weeks ago at the Tyson's Corner and the group there was great. Pick up was delayed a couple of hours because it just seemed they were backed up, but that was ok. Nice waiting room and nicer lady there that shared a lot of good Lucid info with me as she was there for the 12,000 mile service on her AGT.
A little background for context..... We have previously owned a 2020 Model X and 2022 Model Y. Currently own a 2022 R1T and a 2024 R1S. We love both of our Rivians, but I had been lurking the Lucids for a while and the 18 month lease deal combined with the $5000.00 on-site discount pushed us to give it a try. All I can say is, those of you who are on the fence, do it, you won't regret it. It's simply a fabulous car and an absolute joy to drive. In fact, my wife has now stolen the Touring from me, so I tease her that we are going to have to buy another for me to drive!
Fit and finish on the Touring was great. No issues so far, with the excpetion of the well documented steering wheel creak. Plan to make a call to service to fix soon, but it's really not that big of a deal for us at this point. I can say that the software is certainly behind that of our Rivians, but we were prepared for that. I've seen the Rivian software grow immensly over the last 2 years, and I'm sure Lucid will follow the same path. It's not bad, like impacts the driving experience bad (at least so far), just "young".
Only regrets I have, sort of, is that I didn't get DD Premium or Pro. I would have rather had that option, but there were no options available on-site in my desired color combo (Fathom Blue - Stealth) with DD Pro or Premium. Regular DD fine, but I've grown used to the 360 cameras and the Driver+ in our Rivians and I wish I had something comparable on our Touring. But, that was our plan for this car, to try out the Lucid and get a feel for what options we might need on our next one (or Gravity!?!?).
This forum was a ton of help along the way, thank you all very much!
Now my, quite possibly dumb question......how do I get my referral code in CODE format and not a QR code? All I can find in my account is the QR code?
