New cell phone carrier question

I switched from AT&T to Mint. My phone can show me charge status, tire pressure, etc. but won’t allow me to initiate software upgrades. I haven’t used it to open the car much but it would appear that won’t work. Do I need to forget the device and delink it?

Did you get a new phone altogether ? Or just swapped the sim from Att to mint ?
What OS are you on iOS or Android ?

I kept my iPhone 11. It’s IOS 17.3
