I picked my car up just a few hours ago https://lucidowners.com/threads/grand-touring-delivery-tracker.493/post-67548

Delivery was great! This forum's delivery checklist helped spot a couple issues which I would have missed in the excitement of it all.
Our drive home from delivery was also great.
When we got home, my wife setup her profile on the car and that's when so many things went wrong. (Lucid, I hope you're reading this. Some of this stuff is just incredibly broken and unacceptable)

Okay here goes. This is only the bad stuff, and I'm actually quite upset about some of it so please try to tune out my "tone" from what follows. As a 4 wheeled A->B very fast machine, this car is incredible. For pretty much anything else that involves using its screens, it gets tricky....
  1. We couldn't figure out how to avoid Tolls on the Nav.
  2. Driver/Passenger seat selection can often control the "wrong" seat.
    • This is just a UI bug where, (for example) if the user previously selected "passenger seat" and then left the seat UI, did some other stuff, came back, the UI might reset to the "driver seat" but actually the controls are still mapped to the passenger seat. (My Wife moved my seat a bunch by accident while I was driving because the UI was showing that it was controlling her seat when it was actually not)
  3. Bluetooth is an absolute joke
    1. Not once has "Connected devices" shown either of our iPhones. (both are paired, both actually work fine separately)
    2. Cannot connect 2 phones simultaneously. 6 year old BMWs can do this. 2 year old Kias can.
    3. Mobile key should not be advertised until it actually works. Fob works well enough so far.
  4. The entire entertainment system froze, crashed, and then rebooted because I decided to raise the volume while the FM radio was being changed or switching to HD or something (unsure of the exact steps)
  5. Randomly at one point, the Seat ventilation controls for the driver were stuck "on" and passenger controls were non-functional. (see attached video)
  6. Can't seem to turn the headlights off? https://lucidowners.com/threads/can-the-headlights-be-turned-off.2821/
  7. Possible windshield hw issue. https://lucidowners.com/threads/war...nd-headache-for-tall-drivers.2820/#post-67552
  8. There's a big crease on the passenger side seat that I somehow didn't notice till we got home (attached image)
If this is just our first 6 ours, I pray for what's to come...
They need to prioritize stability first and foremost. Highway assist and even Carplay can wait for that matter.

It's not all bad. We love how the car looks. Love how it drives. Love the interior. Love the seats. Love the radar cruise. But I just have to beat a dead horse over and over and bring up these software issues. With how quickly and frequently we ran into issues, some of these features should not have made it into prod. it's been over a year that this car has been with owners, I cannot imagine how some of these bugs are still around.

Side note - I build software. Lucid needs software. Lucid, can you share your software somewhere and let me/the community propose fixes? (never gonna happen)
I know there's a big update coming, but that doesn't excuse what's being handed out to customers today (Dream Edition owners are the real MVPs for what they must have gotten...).

I’d love to watch your video, but it won’t play. I don’t think this site supports uploading videos. I think you need to put it on some free video sharing site, like YouTube.

Not a feature yet.

I have never ever seen this occur. My guess is a reboot will fix this, but I've literally never seen it!

Mobile key works fine for many; I still have issues with it, but it's apparently entirely fixed in the upcoming 2.0 release. You can connect two phones; one for music, one for phone. You can adjust this in the settings for each device within the car. You cannot connect two for music or two for phone at the same time. It would be really odd when texts or calls pop up as you wouldn't know whose phone is active. Connected Devices definitely shows my phones, so I'm not sure why it's not working for you.

Yeah, this is annoying, and fixed in the 2.0 software, from what I gather.

  • Randomly at one point, the Seat ventilation controls for the driver were stuck "on" and passenger controls were non-functional. (see attached video)
Same; fixed in the 2.0 software, I gather.

Not a feature at the moment, sadly. Send that one to CS so they know it's important.

This one is wild, and I responded separately. I have never run into it but I'm over half a foot shorter than you, heh.

That sucks; let service know and they may be able to take care of it.

Re: headlights - I have noticed it as well. Can you get around my locking the car from the inside using fob? I haven’t tried it but curious to know if that turns off the lights.

The video played for me and it looked like the issue that my Delivery Specialist "knew about". The cooling function would not work. She did a software reset and when it came back it worked.

@borski - touring reservation holder and keep myself updated with what to expect..

By the time I get the car, the supposedly big update comes and takes care off all the issues we have. However, when you say “fixed in 2.0”, are you just assuming or know for a fact that this is fixed ?

That's what we did. Car was in our garage so we soft reset it and it worked fine. Interestingly enough, as soon as we got in, the driver side ventilated seat was on even though the screen showed it off. Tapping it on and off again finally cut it out.

I don't think this works. It likely needs to hit that 30minute timer where things shut down. I locked the car, took 1 fob with me and left. Wife was still in the car and the lights stayed on for the 5 or so minutes that I was gone

Seems to work on desktop and not on mobile! I guess I'll upload stuff to imgur next time since that integrates better with the forum

I texted support but haven't heard back yet (aside from the automated opt in).
Can someone share their email address for reporting issues?

Thanks again Borski. My newly arrived car has been sequentially downloading (I think that's why it keeps turning itself on and off so many times the first few days ... or maybe it was the key fob I forgot I had in my pocket when I walked past the car)?

I'm finding the sudden wake-ups have stopped, and everything works perfectly.

did I mention I love this car and can't remember ever being this excited for this long?
= about two years waiting, and it's absolutely worth it.

These cars are stunning. I'm just out of my mind ... first night 3am in the garage with all the lights off ... watching the car wake up and download another bit of software. Best night of my life so far. Those headlights are frikin' bright !

Picked up car on Thursday afternoon. Inspection at service center revealed some adhesive on the rear bumper, water spots, and a small scratch on the cantrail. The detailing crew cleaned it up and I couldn't find the scratch so they must have buffed it out. I didn't experience the seat control being confused with my wife changing her seat setup while I drove.

I share the enjoyment/love of the car so far - no twisties or hard cornering attempted (19" wheels) but for cruising, it's wonderful. With hard acceleration, launches, and getting used to the car, got 1.6 m/kwh. Met my brother for dinner then on the way home (85 mile trip), I set cruising speed to 73 and got it up to 3. Charged at EA and took car to get ppf/ceramic trying to get best efficiency for the 22 mile drive (almost all freeway). 4.2 m/kwh.

The one problem I ran into was the front passenger door "trigger" requiring much more force to get the door to release than the other doors. I had to to go around the car to open the door from the outside for my wife. Took me a few attempts to get the door to open when I tried it from the inside. The driver's door opens with very little effort when pulling the trigger. Now that the excitement of taking delivery is over, I'll go over the car very carefully to see what else I can add to the list for Lucid to fix when I get it back from the detailer. The detailer will note anything they see that Lucid should address.

I heard (can’t remember where) that after production started, they had to abandon using the AMAZON operating system. I think they had to start over at that point.

Great post, and very much in agreement. We received our Lucid Air GT on Wednesday, and wow is this an amazing car! The design, range, comfort, driving experience, etc. are all awesome. But yes, the software has been quite buggy, most often in that buttons stop working, e.g. the AC controls just stop responding, or clicking some of the AC controls on the driver side change the settings on the passenger side, etc. I think my favorite bug was when the chair massage wouldn't stop no matter what I would do, even when it said it was stopped :D. Yes, first world problems I know. All of these have been relatively minor, but I do agree that I think Lucid's #1 priority WRT software should be stability before any new features.

The only bug that has been concerning is "Creep" mode seems to be totally random as to when it is actually enabled. I have it turned on, and indeed when I start driving the warning shows up that creep mode is enabled, but then after a couple mins or so it's definitely off, and the car doesn't move at all when I'm stopped after I lift my foot off the break. I prefer creep mode because (a) it's just what I'm used to, but more importantly (b) the Lucid barely fits in my garage, and it's much easier to safely get it into the garage if I can just slowly inch forward after taking my foot off the break. 3 out of 4 times it seems like creep mode just randomly isn't working when it's time to pull into my garage.

"Creep" mode seems to be totally random as to when it is actually enabled.
I just noticed this today. It's completely broken and possibly unsafe.
When it m warns you, then it situs fine but sometimes it doesn't warn that creep is on then it won't work even though it's setup.

I just want to say. After those initial few hours with the car, actually had a mostly painless experience living with it.
Yes everything was terribly slow and sometimes would stop working but we had found a way to live with it and not find it annoying.

Then 2.0.x happened. I'm certain no one will ever have the experience I had when I picked this car up. That's history.
