2026 models go on sale in 2025.
For example the new 2026 BMW iX goes on sale in Spring 2025.

I know. I usually try (though don’t always succeed) to time it that way.

I asked my sales guy and he thinks that's the case for the 20/21's (not sure on 21/22's). Based on the pictures of the 20/21's, they appear to be plastic inserts.

Does anyone know if the 21/22 rims have removable inserts

Orders are now open in Saudi Arabia, and their configurator is probably giving us a glimpse on which configurations will be fulfilled sooner than others, as many of the options we can select in the US configurator are not offered there yet, and they’ll make it available in June 2025.
We all expected "fully loaded" vehicles to be available before others, but this gives us more specifics on what to expect. AMP-2 isn't operational yet, so these vehicles will be produced at AMP-1 and shipped there.
This is just a speculation, but I think I already have a good track record on speculating the end of December 2024 VIP delivery event

Y'all can check the Saudi configurator, but here is a summary of the specifications which will be available before June 2025:

• Exterior colors: Black and green
• Appearance: stealth and platinum
• Wheels: 22"/23" only.
• Interior color: Yosemite only.
• Seating: 5 and 7 seats.
• Driver Assistance System: DD Premium and DD Pro.
• Sound System: SS base and Pro.
• Dynamic Handling Package: upgraded package only.
• Technology Package: upgraded package only.
• Comfort and Convenience Package: upgraded package only.
• Towing Package: with and without towing package.

So if your configuration doesn't match the above, and you REALLY care about having your vehicle delivered ASAP, I would assume and speculate that it won't be delivered until after June 2025, and maybe contact your sales advisor to update your configuration if an earlier delivery has a higher priority for you. I want to reiterate that I'm speculating here, and do this at your own risk.
The only caveat that I'd like to add is that the interior Tahoe color has been seen in the December delivery event, and I'm guessing they're reserving the Tahoe interior to US orders because of the high demand on this specific interior color (based on the tracker in our forum). The white Yosemite interior is better for Saudi anyway lol, I can't imagine living with a black/dark interior color with glass roof and the extreme summer heat of Saudi.

Slapping on smaller wheels should not be a crazy effort but it does makes sense to ship fully loaded vehicles first as they do care about their bottom line. So the more you paid, the closer to the beginning of the line you are. In theory. I skipped the big wheels and DD Pro plus not an air owner so good thing my current vehicle has an extended warranty for next 3.5 years.

I used to have a Chevy Suburban with a third row that was removable. It sat in the garage 99% of the time and was only used when we had the entire family over. The family is now too large by 1 for a 7-passenger vehicle, so it made no sense to me to give up all the underfloor storage. I am curious if this is something you can add as an upgrade later, though.

Another crazy question! Why do u think the epa range drops so much when adding the third row , do u think the epa range has to test when the car is full of occupants? Anyone know, maybe two additional people sitting ??

I think it is because they add ventilation back there, and, if remember correctly, HVAC load plays a part of the EPA range (only reason I could think of other than extra weight).
