Gravity Reservations Tracker

I was torn between recording "what I ordered" and "what I think I'll say when they ask me to finalize". I mostly went with the latter - my color choices are "a work in progress".

@Joe Thanks for setting this up - just curious in the future, would there be additional columns added for info such as "In Production", "Delivered" etc? Is it possible to sort the entries by Order Date so we can get an idea and easier to see when the vehicles are produced and delivered? Thank you...

The stats are an awesome addition. Go CA! 🤣

Yes I can add additional columns and those who have submitted entries can go back and edit their submissions.

For sorting, I can adjust it to any preference we need. I’m new to using Google Sheets, so it took me a few hours to figure this all out and make work. I’m sure there are many options I haven’t explored yet, but I’ll work on finding what we need when it's time.

I’ll revisit this once VINs start being assigned, etc.

Am I really the only one here representing the Lone Star State? Don’t leave me hanging, y’all—I’m starting to feel like the loneliest cowboy in Texas!

Very cool :cool:Thank you for this; it's always interesting to see what others are ordering.

Are most people choosing smaller wheels for better longevity and resilience against potholes?

My choice of the 21/22" is just a placeholder until I see some reviews by seasoned drivers of the effect of wheel choices on ride and handling and see the EPA range figures for each.

I most like the look of the large Aether wheels, but a replacement rear tire costs over $1100. It's aspect ratio of 35 is the same as on our Air Dream with 21" wheels, and we find its ride quality to be just fine . . . and have experienced no wheel or tire damage due to the aspect ratio.

It's interesting there are ZERO preorders for Quantum Grey Metallic. I was actually wishing there was a prototype Gravity in that color to see what it looks like in real life though I haven't come across one (or a Bronze either). I'm less than thrilled with the view I get from the configurator which I don't think looks true to life having seen a Lunar Titanium in person.

One poster did say he was choosing Quantum Grey because his wife insisted on it. Maybe he just hasn't registered his choices on the tracker?

I agree that the color renditions on the configurator are mediocre at best. They were much better on the Air configurator, where you could see the colors against different backdrops in different lighting conditions and could rotate the image to see the colors from all angles. The Gravity configurator makes the car look as it it's sitting in a warehouse with dirty windows at dusk.

I completely agree that the model on the configurator doesn't display the Gravity in it's true glory. I hope they improve it a bit as that configurator is essentially the "storefront" for potential buyers that aren't near a studio. As it stands, it makes things look "blah".

I did figure out that you can still rotate it if you only change the color and the stealth/platinum option and keep the standard wheels...but as soon as you change the wheels it gets locked in a single position.

I like the look of the smaller wheels. I don't like the look of low profile tires. Better range, longevity and resilience are all just icing on the cake for me.

The only advantage for the lower profile tires (since I don't prefer them for looks) would be that they can handle better. But, that would also depend on the type of tire used. I'm at a stage of life where the small advantage in handling is not worth the compromises in comfort and reliability and needing to swap to high performance tires for the warm dry months is not something I'd want to deal with. So, all of the potential advantages of the larger wheels are lost on me:
  • looks? not for me
  • handling? not enough to live with the other downsides
