Well, we had a change of plan. Due to a scheduling snafu our Gravity DE did not make it to Naples before the PPF wrap shop that was receiving it closed, so it was brought to our house instead. We've spent the evening trying to see how much ground we could cover with setting up the software.
We got WiFi connected and a good many of the preferences set up before the lower screen and the right side of the upper screen blacked out. We went into the house for a while to see if the system would reboot itself. As it did not, we had to call Lucid Customer Care to find out how to do a reboot, which was easy enough (press the cancel button on the left side of the squircle and the voice assistant button on the right side while holding down the brake pedal).
We were able to get Tidal working properly through the native app (and the sound system was great), although the Delivery Advisor Monday said we could only stream from our phones at present. We were unsuccessful with getting Spotify to work.
We have not tried to set up Homelink yet. (Odd story there. We have to back the car out of the garage to get a ladder under the overhead door motor housings to calibrate the roaming codes, but it was dark and we routinely have gators cross our driveway each evening as they move from the lake on one side of the house to the swamp on the other. So Homelink is a daytime job.) But I asked Customer Care if there was any reason it should not work. They said it should, but they had already had four calls today from new owners saying Homelink could not be set up, so Lucid has started a discussion with Homelink to see what's going on.
When we tried out the Navigation system, we found the car thinks it is in Arizona. Same thing with the time zone. Although we activated the button to set the time zone based on the GPS signal in Florida, the car is still showing Pacific time. Customer Care could not figure out how to fix that problem and has put in service request. They looked at their end to see where the car location was showing, and it was in the ocean off the hook of Africa.
I programmed the car to charge up to 80% from the 72% it was at. It began charging and I went into the house. About a half hour later I got a phone notification that charging had stopped "Due to Optimized Charging" and would resume and finish by 5:30 a.m. (We do not have peak rates, so I do not use the scheduled charging feature.) I went out to the car to check. It was chugging happily away, was at 79%, and showing charging would complete in 10 minutes. I have no idea what that notification was about.
So . . . we got some ground covered since Monday's patchy experience at the Miami Service Center, but there'e still work to be done.
