Gravity Delivery Discussion

I would NOT want to be the guy in the middle of a three-person frunking experience!
The middle person here didn't utter any complaint.

I was told that the Tesla chargers will open to Gravity very very soon. Using "Luicd" time, I think that means around the beginning of February. Air will be later since the compatibility testing has been focused on Gravity first. I would expect Air to be enabled with an adapter by Summer of 2025.

I’m really curious how the 9 new Gravity owners are charging their vehicles now, since using Tesla’s superchargers isn’t an option yet? Were Lucid-branded NACS home chargers delivered with the 9 vehicles?

The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 claims to be the first vehicle with NACS port, but I’m not sure if they’ve been delivered yet and charging natively with Tesla’s superchargers.

A NACS to CCS adapter provided by Lucid would seem appropriate in this instance

Why did I make a new thread to get derailed haha.

There are many high-quality, inexpensive J1772-to-NACS adapters available online for L2 home or workplace charging.

Thanks! I’m aware of these adapters, Tesla includes these with each vehicle for free.

Maybe my question wasn’t clear enough, I was hoping (by posting it in the post-delivery thread) to get an answer from those who attended the event about the specific solution provided by Lucid to the 9 new owners, but it seems all roads lead to adapters at this point.
Also whether or not Lucid have the NACS home charger ready yet (pictured below), but it seems not yet.

I’m just interested in the logistics of transitioning to NACS, since we technically have non-Tesla native-NACS vehicles on the road now, and it happens to be the vehicle we’re all VERY interested in 😆

I was fortunate enough to see 3 of the 9 initial Gravities at a service center today. They were being detailed following the weekend festivities.

I asked the same questions regarding the NACS charging port. I was informed that all of the Gravities were delivered with J1772 and CCS adapters. They were also provided with the frunk seat insert.

I was told that only these initial Gravities would be delivered with the frunk seat insert, and that going forward it will be an accessory available for purchase

Yay, one less thing to figure out what to do with it.
Use it every possible chance you get, obviously :)

(I strongly suspect this is going to be a divisive but very binary option; people will either love it or hate it, and personally, I am going to love it)

I'm only glad that it is optional, nothing else.

Oh, I think it's cute. I'm not objecting to the fact that they designed a feature that someone else may love - in fact I praise the creativity of it.

But, this feature comes with an insert that you have to deal with when you aren't frunkgating. And given that I have no plans to ever frunkgate with it, it just takes up space for me.

So, idea great! Forcing people to take an accessory at delivery that they'll have to deal with - not so great. (In fact, making it an optional accessory now makes this fun idea a "best of both worlds" kind of thing.)

Totally. Could not agree more with everything you wrote.

Not having it included but as an option makes me irrationally upset lol

You have plans to frunkgate, just not with the insert, correct? :)
