Other than a Ford LIghtning and a Cybertruck, for now the Gravity is the only ev that you can comfortably sit in the frunk.

I guess as long as you have food in it or nearby, it qualifies

This might need to be a new thread in the Gravity Features section; frunkgating.

Ummm, this old body don't anythinggate without deep padding, lumbar support, and back massage built in...
Ahhh, so you need that insert to have built-in massaging. Throw a pillow in there and you're good to go! 😀

This is interesting….. reporting 50 Gravity’s for January

Hmmm 🤔 I wonder if those are registrations for the vehicles destined for showrooms and test drives.
Regardless, I’d think the folks who do factory fly-overs would have noticed that many Gravity units on the move or in the lot at the factory 🤷🏻‍♂️ Another mystery.

Yeah, it’s weird that nothing has shown up anywhere. Even with 50, I’d have expected some noise (at least in here) that X or Y Studio had one. It seems there’s still only one doing the rounds across the country 🤷‍♂️

Maybe the registration info is completely inaccurate / false

Or like one of those shipping labels that are pre-printed, and when you scan one, you’re given the old “…the shipper has generated a label, but we don’t yet have an update on your package. Try back later.” 😝

This problem is easily solved. @Adnillien needs to quit his day job, pitch a tent beside the factory and fly his drone around 24/7! If Lucid is doing 2am load outs we will catch them! 😂

No Gravity at the factory this morning. I still need to look closer at the pictures to make sure. Lots of activity though. I will post more pictures tomorrow.

Any update or photos? As much as Lucid said they didn't want to take reservations without being able to deliver, that is now the exact situation they are in. I've emailed my sales rep and been ghosted for weeks now. We are in between cars (old lease was up) and waiting on the Gravity now but have literally no idea how long the wait could be. Weeks? Months? Years?

With the radio silence from Lucid, it's a bit unnerving. Did they find a production line issue? Is there a problem? It feels likely that in the next month or so we'll start getting notices with specific build estimates that will likely be even a more few months - putting my estimate at 4-8 months before real deliveries start to happen. I suspect the initial 50 cars were hand curated.

How are others feeling? Any different intuitions?

I think like you, a number of people are getting frustrated with the lack of communication. You’re right though, this should have been a reservation opening not an order opening. Probably would have toned down people’s expectations a bit.

Thanks for that. I spoke with a friend who I convinced to order a Gravity. She went to the Newark HQ and said they had one there that she could sit in. She immediately ordered one after sitting in it. This would have been the first week of Feb 2025. They told her she could expect her build in Q3 based on orders ahead of her.

Unless they have a hoard of Gravity hiding in the building, I think that orders placed in Nov when the portal opened up will likely start delivering out in a trickle the last week of March (end of the quarter) else Lucid will have some reckoning with investors and the public market. They will need to show Q1 deliveries. That said I would expect to start seeing deliveries at a higher rate in May / June for the vast majority of early orders. It just seems like they are ramping up slowly unless I'm missing something - which I could be.

I’d be pissed if I was wanting a Touring. If GGT’s are out to Q3 are they going to slide the Touring into the line at some point or not start until Q4 or beyond.

I'm driving friends over to Miami on Sunday, the 16th, to drop them off for a cruise. I called the two Miami Lucid showrooms yesterday to see if either would have a Gravity on view. The Worldcenter showroom is getting one of the pre-production units that has been on the show circuit for the past year back in on February 22, but it can't be driven. Neither showroom still had any word on when they would be getting production units for display and test driving.

If you had told me when orders opened on November 7 that over three months later -- and a month and a half after "customer deliveries" supposedly began -- there would still be no production Gravities in showrooms in Lucid's biggest markets, I would have argued it must be a communications error.

With every passing day I am becoming more convinced that what we're seeing is not the slow ramp Lucid announced but a production holdup of some sort.

And with steel and aluminum tariff hikes a month away, how long can Lucid hold the line on announced pricing?

Once again, as happened with the Air debut, external events are piling up against Lucid's momentum. Tax credits disappearing, NEVI slowdowns or cessation, tariffs looming at both the sourcing and sales ends.

Supercharger access is about the only bright spot right now, and that rides on the whims of a man not known for his stability.
