Does Anyone Have Regrets? (non-owner asking)

Nearing 10K miles with Zero regrets. One observation: The car sits extremely low. If you have a "curbed" driveway, you might want to invest in a set of rubber ramps like those made by Bridjit or Vevor. Only "complaint" is that I can't work on this car lol!

The answer to the question of what does the i4 excel at? As owners of both. (my car is the AGT and my wife has the i4M50)
Apples and Oranges. The Air is a mid to large size sedan. the i4 is a small to mid size sedan.
My AGT is a better car, but costs 2x the price.
Pluses for the i4 are that it offers HUD as an option.
Acceleration of my i4M50(seat of the pants feel) feels faster than my AGT for the 1st 1/2 second, then of course my Air blasts out after that. Both cars offer far more power than 90% of EV drivers would feel they ever need(this excludes the 5-10% on this forum where you can never have enough power-myself included.)
The i4 feels a bit nimbler going around curves and feels faster off the line as I stated above.
The intermittent windshield wipers on the i4 actually work as intended.(Are you listening Lucid?)
The A/C vents can actually be directed so that air can be blown on your face.(no protruding lip of the dash as on the Air which interferes with direction).
The Air is more voluminous inside while the i4 can feel a bit cramped.
the i4 is a hatchback and the back seats can be folded down for even more room.
The i4's range is 270, which is fine for local and short trips but does not compare to the AGT's range which is almost 2x that.
Again, my AGT is a better car, but it should be for the higher price.
Both are great cars, but are different size cars and probably appeal to different audiences.
Between the 2 cars, the Air is my favorite, but both will appeal to EV drivers compared to the competition.
The Air is very fast, has great range, gorgeous exterior and interior, love the rear cameras on turn signals, etc. I like my Air best of the 2. My wife prefers the smaller size I4.
Hope that answers your question.

I am pretty sure I am going to get a lot of heat from other members on this forum, but here is my question for the people who already have their Lucid vehicles and have spent some time living with them.
Do you have any regrets about buying the Lucid? What regrets do you have? If you love the vehicle in general, what do you wish was better?
What do you absolutely love about your vehicle?
I don't think software will improve unlocking the doors - seems like it's hardware that wasn't designed effectively, and maybe I just have a dud. Service said it works as expected, but it's probably the biggest frustrating thing for me. That and the deprecated Sirius and confusing infotainment.

I have many regrets. Buying 2 Lucids are not on the list. 😁
As a buyer of 2 Lucids, I have to agree with @Bill55. It's about the best purchase I've ever made. In all my years, I've never owned a vehicle that I've had this much fun with. It hasn't been problem free, but the issues have been minor and taken care of by Lucid very well.

What does the i4 excel at?
I have both (i4 e40 & Pure AWD) and they are very different cars. The Air has a smoother ride, absorbing road irregularities better than the i4. Being smaller & lighter, the i4 handles better. The BMW heritage doesn’t hurt. The Pure wins in terms of range, although the i4’s efficiency is not far removed from the Lucid. In terms of luxury the Air wins. For me, both are plenty fast enough, but the Pure is quicker.

When all is said & done, If I could only pick one, the Lucid wins.

Can't work on the car because it's too low or because it's an EV?
I love "working" on this car every week - working being washing and waxing (actually spray on ceramic over the ppf). It's therapeutic for me but I think I'm in the minority!😅

Definitely because it's an EV. Other than airing up the tires and filling the windshield washer fluid tank (like it rains here in Las Vegas lol!) and keeping the car clean, there isn't much than I can do. With regen, brakes are probably lifetime, at least for me. With my ICE vehicles - spark plugs/ignition coils, brakes, oil/transmission fluid changes which I can do. I can't even find the cabin filter on the Lucid much less find the replacement filter. New paradigm, new mindset.

Question: Any of you use the "roll" feature on the Lucid? If so, how do you like it?

There’s a lot you can do! Just requires some creativity, and occasionally a keyboard. :)

If you're really bored, search the forums for the cabin filter (don't remember the model but it fits my RX-8) and the youtube video to replace it!

I can't get my 9/16" open-end wrench on a keyboard. And where do the metric sockets go? BTW, Pragmatic posted a guide on changing cabin air filter, so I guess I'm on my way!

An additional advantage the i4 has over the Air. Every panel and the fit and finish of the car is exceptional.
And after nearly 2 years of ownership, my wife has not had to bring the her car in for any reason. Everything works perfectly. No teething problems at all.
Hopefully Lucid will achieve the same as time goes on. The Air is too good of a car to let the imperfections of a new car company dissuade people from buying it.
Lucid needs to up its quality control before the car leaves the factory and make sure the customer service is outstanding. For many of us owners it already is, for others not so much.

Absolutely true. My wife’s i4 is assembled as perfectly as any car I’ve ever owned. After about 2 1/2 years, not a single issue.

As much as don't like exterior front looks, this is very true.
The panel gaps on the Air are still "questionable" to say the least.

But they are way better than my Model S.

Also don't get the glass roof. Unbearably hot and the ac isn't designed to handle summer with the trapped heat. The metal roof is probably preferred.

We had to do this, and it still took some angle grinding of the garage lip to avoid scraping on a steeper driveway. I've considered trying to go to a custom job place to lift the car an inch but haven't pulled the trigger. Definitely something to consider in our next home.

The car is incredibly sexy, I love the lines and profile of how it sits, the interior is beautiful as well! I can pass cars without even thinking about it, love how it handles and grips the road, this car is a drivers car for sure!

Cons:
Connectivity through cellular is a bigger issue than i thought it was going to be, I spend a lot of time in the car in silence because of "Poor network connection" which I've never experienced before, which leads to my second point,

I do think the UI is beautifully designed, but it looks like they have already made changes in Gravity for what I'm noting here; if I want to change a station I need to first reach all the way up to the dashboard panel controls to select music, then I need to navigate down to the pilot panel (the little station buttons that present themselves as a pop up are often too small and frustrating to deal with while driving) then depending on the source SXM, I have to select 3 clicks/buttons to get to my "favorites" this is a total of 5 clicks/buttons I have to press to change the radio station. Gravity looks like it has track pads on the steering wheel which I'm guessing will reduce the effort.

I know we've heard this a million times, but the stereo lacks any bottom end (for me).

As far as regrets? Well I bought a $100K car, that they dropped about $20K after I bought it, and I recently got an offer for $35K for it. It's hard to sell outright for a number of reasons, So financially speaking yes, I regret it. I know cars depreciate but it's less than 2 years old, and the only offer I got was for about 30% of what I paid.

I'm not mad, I'm just sad; but my wife? She's got a few things to say too
