Hi everyone, the contest is over!

And there are three winners! (Remember, the rules are arbitrary and subject to change.)

Overall winner for the suggestion that led to the application itself: @TCGT for HEADY (more on this below)
Winner for sheer volume of effort, for really wanting beer, for actually reading the MA state rules, and for having crappy luck with his Lucid: @CLTGT (TNTC suggestions)
Honorable mention for suggesting a plate that I almost, almost, almost went with: @Ahntilza (for DOPPLR)

DOPPLR is pretty damn clever, especially for a red car, and totally nerdy.

But in the end, I went with KSYRAH (as in “que sera, sera). @TCGT wins because once I suggested HEADY to my wife, she said, “Why don’t you do a wine-themed license plate instead like Cabernet or Syrah?”

Hopefully, the RMV accepts it, and people don’t read KSYRAH as “Kiss Your Asshole.” If it’s rejected, I’m heading toward “DOPPLR”

Thanks to everyone for entering and for the endless permutations on Masshole. You do Massachusetts proud.

Drink it right out of the can ... trust me. Like hops? You will now! I'd have to rate this best bier I've ever had (and I'm an alcoholic!).

Back in 2012 we were doing a New England vacation and stopping at breweries. We went to the Ben and Jerry's factory then found this little place nearby called The Alchemist with a tap room. I tried Heady, thought it was good and bought a 4 pack. The guy behind the counter looked at me strange and asked "only a 4 pack?". I looked it up after we got back and saw why he was surprised since they were getting flack for limiting sales to only two 24 packs per person.

Hi everyone, I’m keeping my Lucid for the long haul and would like to get a personalized license plate. I live in MA, so the rules on personalized license plates are more restrictive than other states. Bottom line: 6 letters max and can’t intersperse numbers and letters.

What I really want is Lucidy McLucidFace. But that won’t fit in 6 letters.

It turns out ESSCAR and SCARGO (As in, look at that ES-CAR-GOT!) is available, but my wife won’t let me do that.

Here are the rules…

1. Contest ends when I send in my vanity plate application to the RMV.
2. While I’m the judge of the contest, my wife is the ultimate judge, a role she plays in real life. So watch out.
3. Suggestions can’t be already taken by a car in MA. You can check if a license plate is taken here or here. It also needs to fit MA vanity plate format, which is found here.
4. Winner is the person who suggests a name that either becomes the name on the vanity plate or directly inspires it (just like “information leading to the arrest and conviction.”)
5. These rules are arbitrary and subject to change.
6. Prize is negotiable. If you want a different beer from New England, I’m good with that as long as it’s in a can. Shipping bottles is no fun.

Oh yeah, my Lucid GT is red if that helps.

That plate subsidizes Oil & Gas Association lobbying. I was concerned and thought 50/50 it might get approved. I guess Texas DMV understands humor.
