It’s still on the list from the recent tech day…..Peter, is anyone listening? Can you PLEASE provide an update on the road map for bi-directional charging?
Bi-directional between two vehicles has shipped. Gravity will have V2L. V2H is still under active development. No firm release date.Peter, is anyone listening? Can you PLEASE provide an update on the road map for bi-directional charging?
In the meantime, my fallback-plan Enphase PV + battery has been working pretty well. Can't come too soon for this area!!View attachment 24666
Yeah but wouldn't it be great to have an extra 118 kWh battery...for free?In the meantime, my fallback-plan Enphase PV + battery has been working pretty well.
That it would! For this to really make sense with home solar energy management (PV + home battery and/or car), the PV system's software needs to know the car's SOC. This isn't possible directly through the J1772 level 2 charging connector, and there isn't a consistent API across car manufacturers. I do hope to eventually find a bidirectional charging solution that works well with my Enphase home PV and battery - Enphase has been promising this, but their target ship date has been slipping. Other companies are already in the market. IMO it will be important to source most of the system from one manufacturer (PV + Home energy storage solution + bidirectional car charging EVSE).Yeah but wouldn't it be great to have an extra 118 kWh battery...for free?
It can do V2V.On comparison websites I see that Lucid 'already' can do V2H, V2G, V2L. Is that true? With what chargers?
As i am writing this Peter posted this and No Gravity is redundant nowAs we approach the end of the year:
Despite all that, I’m still incredibly happy with what Lucid delivered with the Air and the updates I’ve received this year. I’ve got the best car, the best service, the best driving experience—those are things that can’t be updated OTA. I already have what I need, and I’m content with what’s being rolled out via software updates.
- No V2H
- No Android Auto
- No significant ADAS update
- No Gravity
- No Sentry Mode, and so on...
Here’s hoping Lucid can overdeliver in 2025!
I think you mean that “No Gravity” was “incorrect” as being part of the list of things that didn’t happen in 2024!As i am writing this Peter posted this and No Gravity is redundant now

I have to agree. I only have 500 miles on my Air Pure, but the more I drive and understand the features, the more I like it!It’s always wise to buy a car based on the features it currently has, not what might be in the future. I’m extremely happy with the car as it is, anything more is just gravy.
Thanks. Shipped to who? I don't have it? How do you get it?Bi-directional between two vehicles has shipped. Gravity will have V2L. V2H is still under active development. No firm release date.
That's right from Eric Bach's mouth less than two months ago, at a public event.
