So after I installed 2.1.42, I noticed SXM stopped working, essentially was blank without providing the usual menu options for operation. Based on the 2.1.42 notes I assumed my SXM Beta version was no longer available and that a new production version was installed which required a separate SXM (one of three) streaming subscription. I thought we were going to get a 90 day free trial, but I didn't see any such option. Tried the SXM path under Settings>Applications. Drilled down to Contact SiriusXM. The phone connection to SXM CC didn't work but my Air did provide me an alpha numeric Radio ID which it instructed me to provide to SXM Customer Care. After explaining my Air doesn't have a native satellite receiver or antenna, so streaming applications rely on the car's internet for connectivity, I told the CC person I was trying to get a streaming subscription working in my Air. After traversing though several of the Application menu paths, she wasn't able to find any of the expected log-in options (Sign In or Listen Now). SXM CC came to the conclusion that although I was showing I had the latest version 11.6.3 version of SXM, it looked as though it may not have been fully installed during our OTA update.

I then called Lucid Customer Service who instructed me to do an Air Logo reset which successfully restored the SXM beta version. Unfortunately he wasn't able to determine if there had been any reported or known problems with 2.1.42's SXM updates. He said her would submit a query to SW Engineering, but wouldn't expect any feedback until after the holiday...

Anyone else experiencing these problems?

The SiriusXM in my car is working the same as before after the 2.1.42 update. I assumed it was running under the free trial rather than Beta., but I haven't checked anything in the Settings yet. Since we have 90 days of free trial time, I'm not rushing to call them. I'll probably get around to it over Thanksgiving weekend.

I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't mind letting me know what version of the SXM app you have and whether it has an obvious changes / improvements. TIA

I do not know what version it is. Where would I find that? When I go to Setting -> SiriusXM, it just says Subscription: Premier. Please subscribe to enjoy SiriusXM and gives a phone number. But it's working exactly the way it has been for the last half year, nothing different.

Well I'm not sure what has happened since I called Lucid CS, but SXM seems to be working with all my favorites, etc., still intact. When I now go to Settings>Applications>SiriusXM>Listeners, Account & Settings it now looks different and now says Subscription: Premier, Please subscribe to enjoy SiriusXM. Makes me think I now have the free 90 day production version. So far, I haven't seen any differences but I'll need to explore more. If you click the Location Data option under System Settings it displays your installed Radio ID and software version number. I'm now convinced I had a partial update and the Air Logo cleaned it up, or else Lucid pushed some type of update. At least I am up and running again...

So the car doesn’t have the features that you want and you didn’t check this beforehand?

What @dcase99 said. Those things were never in the car, or even advertised to be in the car. I don't care about either. If they are dealbreakers for you, why on earth didn't you ask about those features before buying it? If there's anyone to be pissed off at, it should be yourself.

No we did not. Amazed !! It’s like did we check if the tires were round?!
Dumb question. On a 100k car to hv a sat connection is expected
Did you check the air pressure in your tires prior to delivery? Did you check the motor mounts were tight? Did you check the battery coolant level? Ridiculous questions right?

I have a list of features that I want when I buy a car. Sounds like you should as well

Yes but for 100k car the $89 sat radio was expected as was a dash camera. Sounds to me if L wants to be considered the highest tech high end car they should offer this as standard and offer upgrades to existing owners. On Amazon the setup is under $100! Dash cam same. How could the marketing folk miss this obvious oversight

Have you looked for a retrofit?
Seems like if this is a necessity for you, it's a 90 bucks and a bluetooth connection away? Similarly, you can simply install a dash cam or wait for Lucid to finish the software for it.
To put it simply, what is a deal breaker for you personally is not even a thought for many of us. I wouldn't use Sirius if I had it, it's awful and scammy. The fact that it hardly ever comes up here on this forum tells me most other customers couldn't care less about it being satellite or not either. Recognize that this is your own mistake. I'm sorry that you made such a mistake, but don't blame it on others.

You must live in a major city
There are those who simply do not. Until internet connections are ubiquitous then Sat radio is needed. Agreed. Music quality can’t compete w true internet streaming with current equipment but at least there would be something other than no internet service messages. Perhaps the SALES staff should appraise prospective customers of such. Perhaps offer a “fix” for those units sold into non metro markets. Does one really want to have wires dangling from aftermarket cameras and sat receivers? Of course not
guess we take our new beauty to a local car stereo joint. Sad face!

Wait wait wait. What oversight are we talking about here? Lucid made a car as they saw fit and people buy it or not based upon their preferences and their requirements. The fact that You bought it without making your expectations clear is not Lucid.s fault.

I have music on a USB drive in the car. I have music and audiobooks downloaded to my phone. No issues driving in rural areas without cell service. Still wouldn't use Sirius.

I'm curious about the dash cam thing. I've never had a car with one, but I've never had a high end car before. Are these standard on most luxury cars, or is it just a Tesla thing?

Of course it does have SXM, just not the satellite version. I actually prefer the internet version because it gives both better sound quality and more choices. Each to their own.

How do you listen to talk radio or news of the world?

That's what podcasts are, and you can download them. I bet there's even a way to download entire segments from NPR and the like. It's not live, but that's not something I care about.
