Did you get that same notice also?Depressing day in that most of us are not getting our Lucid Air Dreams until next year. Cars are "missing a part"
Received my VIN number 18 days ago. Delivery date notice since then -- crickets.Depressing day in that most of us are not getting our Lucid Air Dreams until next year. Cars are "missing a part"
DE is 520, the 577 assumed 57 GT.
My car is "waiting on a part" and will be at least the second week of Jan at this point it sounds like.
The VIN notice came with the text: "Dream Edition Lucid Air with .... has completed production and we plan for you to take receipt of the vehicle at ..... before the end of the year."
So, perhaps in the next two days?
Excellent. Let us know how it goes!Hey, the "Just Born Car" must be mine, since they are doing a delivery TOMORROW, Thursday, 29-Dec-21. They called to make sure I would be available. Waiting for the Delivery Specialist to call and do a final confirmation for time. They said that it wouldn't be much time from the time the car leaves the production facility to delivery.
Actually, I just checked the AZ online MVD page and the car is already titled under my name and has been assigned a permanent license plate. This was done back on 15-Dec-21 about the time I sent back the paperwork and had paid. So as far as the MVD is concerned, I have been the owner of this car for 2 weeks+. If this were 30+ days, I would get a nasty letter from the MVD telling that I have no insurance on the car (in AZ your existing insurance covers new cars for 30 days) . Lucid also only got me 1 year of license plates/registration, although I requested 5 years. In AZ the cost is about $60/year. Luckily I'm grandfathered in now and can just renew for about $300 for 5 more years.Excellent. Let us know how it goes!
Congratulations for being Titled, now I hope you can actually drive it soon. Here are the fees from the MVD site. I now have to wait till next year to renew:Wow, you can purchase license and registration 5 years at a time...that's amazing
Registration Period | Fees |
---|---|
1 Year | $66.29 |
2 Year | $115.13 |
5 Year | $221.92 |
The rates in AZ are for EVs. These rates are valid until the end of this year, at which point you are grandfathered in. The rates go up next year, but are still below the regular car rates. If this were a gas car, it would be about $1700/year in AZ based on retail cost. Doesn't Colorado still do the generous EV rebate program?I'll end up paying $3,000+ for one year of registration in Colorado.![]()
Congrats on your car Alex! You are one of the first AZ Lucid owners I know, I would like to let you know I am part of a Facebook group for Arizona Lucid Owners and Enthusiasts and hope you can join and share your experiences:Hey, the "Just Born Car" must be mine, since they are doing a delivery TOMORROW, Thursday, 29-Dec-21.
