2.6.2 Software Update

I just got a push notification to update the car with the notes reading "With this update, we are improving the robustness and general functionality of the vehicle". Est Update Time is 40 min. No details posted anywhere else yet.

Last night AA was also finally updated by Google. Could this finally be it!??!

Unfortunately no AA after the update. Though I now realize that my Mobile Key is no longer working since the 2.6.0 update. I always have my fob on me since I need to still carry regular keys around. I've done app reinstall, mobile key resetup, bluetooth removal, etc. Sadly I'll need to call service for it.

One final comment. I posted on the AA thread my Pixel has been trying to connect via AA since the 2.6.0 update. I wish they would either enable it or disable it all together until they are ready. It's creating battery drain on my phone while driving since the phone is continuously waiting for AA to connect.

Clear cache on your android auto app. This should fix the issue.

If it makes you feel any bette, wireless car play was broken after 2.6 You would have to go through the whole connect process manually every time you got in the car. It just forgot your phone when you got out of the car. I had to go back to using USB.

I think release notes like these would improve credibility and bring customers into the ongoing OTA process. Kind of like a periodic team informational meeting at work:

I have had the same issue since 2.6.0! Half connected.....

Try clearing both the cache and storage.

This is great. Volvo is actively working to improve public opinion about their software development program.
