2.0.64

I also use mobile key and a lot of times the car doesn’t detect it. Thats the biggest issue I have right now. I mentioned it in a recent video I made. If that worked better I would be golden. For the most part though I’m happy with the software even with the minor glitches here and there.
Have you tried using the FOB instead?

No I refuse to carry the key fob with me. When the mobile key doesn’t work right away I let the mobile app wake up the vehicle and then I can unlock the doors and get in. It’s annoying but I would rather do that than carry the fob. I do carry the card with me but I have yet to actually use it.

Has anyone else not received 2.061? I’m still on 2.059.

I just got 61 this morning. As more cars are on the road, my updates have shifted from the morning after release to the second morning after release.

I got both .61 and .64 yesterday. My car is in Beverly Hills for service, so I didn't want to update via the app weekly they were working on it. Given that I got the push for .64 last night, they installed .61 sometime during the day yesterday. I got notification that .64 finished installing early this morning. Service is on top of it!

I should clarify that when I'm in the garage working on other things the car is constantly unlocking and locking so that part of the proximity seems to work (too aggressively). However, when I walk out from Costco after the car has been asleep I'm near the back trying to open the trunk and look like a fool waiting for it to unlock itself. I have mobile key activated on my phone as well as the key fob my pocket and it still doesn't unlock.
Definitely try putting a new battery in the fob. it's known that these fobs eat batteries. get a bunch of 2032 batteries.

When in the garage keep the fob covered with aluminum foil or in a Faraday pouch, and the app on your phone off. As others have noticed: sometimes the fob works like a dream and unlocks the car as you approach, sometimes not. You can try holding the fob next to your head to increase the range.

Quick note: the app being on or off has no bearing on wherever mobile key is active.

??? Not sure then what I'm doing. Thought the phone was inert if the app is off? I'm pretty sure the app must be on screen to work as a key, but can't confirm this now because .64 is loading.
I listen to podcasts working near the car and it doesn't flash and flap me unless I have the Lucid app open. Then when I open the Lucid app on my phone it takes ~30 seconds to unlock the car.
Are we talking about the same thing?

I can't believe I am still not understanding the keys with this car.

Are you in an iPhone? If you have the settings as pictured below, the app need not be running at all for mobile key to work. (The photos setting doesn’t matter.)

Android users need to keep the app open in the background for mobile key to work.

app is useless until download completes.... at 37% and waiting...

thanks hydbob: yes I have android.

Nope. With app open on phone the car remains asleep. It unlocks when I press the lock icon, then "CONFIRM".
It does not unlock as I approach the car as the key fob does. Even pressing the door handle in doesn't wake/unlock the car. I must press the lock icon on the phone app and then "confirm" to unlock the car with the phone. There is no proximity sensor.

I don't see a setting to make the phone work like the fob. ( Pixel 5a )

OK, tapped it. got screen that says "Mobile Key" "Linked" and REMOVE VEHICLE

what do I do next? Looks like all I can do is: "remove vehicle"

going to try turning it off and on again...

Since your key seems like it’s not working, consider removing it and creating a new one.

looked at location permission on my phone: have precise location enabled, but also "allow only while using the app".
do I need to change this to "allow all the time" for proximity to work? Nope = that didn't change anything. Trying uninstall now.

Also need to keep open as well. Make sure your BT and location are on also.

Has anyone else noticed that the home and work addresses on the home screen have disappeared on 2.0.64? The addresses are still there on the profile page but no longer show on the home page.

Mine are still there after .64.
