Days Since The Last Major Feature Release... Yikes!

I turned it off months ago. It’s useless in its current state. Not sure how much Lucid paid SoundHound in licensing but I’d be asking for my money back!
This is my point about Google Maps and Voice Assistant. Yes, you may pay for it, but you get the best there is currently and for the foreseeable future. HERE and SoundHound are... something else. Somehow my $50K Volvo managed to spend that licensing money wisely.

It has randomly intruded annoyingly and embarrassingly, responding to a passenger's voice. I must turn it off.
So... just like Alexa, then? :P

(It's not good at the moment lol, I'm not defending it)

They paid millions

I wish they bring back the sexy Alexa 🙃until they have their shi(r)t sort it out

I have scientifically found in my brief ownership period to date that Hey Lucid blows. It's a phenomenal way to embarrass myself with a passenger in the car (as is trying to unlock the doors).

Is unlocking an issue with the fob? If so it might be your handles

160 days as of today... Just about double both the average and median times since a feature release. As big a change from the norm as this may appear to be, the comparisons would be worse were they not tempered by including this extraordinary dry spell. Among the promised features, I would think there would be at least one bone Lucid could toss to the old dogs, but I guess everybody is busy playing with the new puppies! Woof!

I'm serious. I had 3 out of 4 handles that would not work on approach. They replaced all 4 and haven't had an issue since.
OK, my apologies I thought it was the recurrent fanboyism diversionary stuff that goes on here (did you reboot?). I'll look into it. I don't use the fobs and don't want to feel like I am forced to. I'd like my car to unlock when I walk up to it (with my phone in front of me and not sleeping) and for "Hey Lucid Go Home" or "Hey Lucid Go to Work" to work.

Ok Lucid….

We need an update!! 3.0 should be ready to go. Please send it out to us this week. I am getting software update withdrawals!!

Yeah, don't be expecting 3.0 to show up on the Air anytime soon.

As for your auto open/close issues, have you tried the following steps?
* First, delete both of the Lucid bluetooth connections from your phone.
* Uninstall the app, and then reinstall it via Google Play. That should clear both the data and cache.
* Make sure you authorize everything on the app, including letting it run in the background.
* Log into the app, and very carefully follow the steps that the app provides, in the exact sequence. (I have found it easy to mess the steps up.)
* Following that, pair your phone as if it were a new device.
* Make sure auto open and auto close are turned on in the vehicle's settings.
* A logo reset at the end couldn't hurt at the end of all this, and it sometimes helps.

As for your Voice Command issues, please consider trying the following...
* Turn off the constant listening for voice activation.
* Then, instead of having to say 'Hey, Lucid', you simply press the microphone button and speak right away. No need to wait for a beep.
* Make your wording a bit more elaborate, such as 'Navigate to my home address.' or 'Set the front air conditioning to 72 degrees.'
* I have yet to have Voice Command fail to properly set navigation when I speak the actual address of a place.

Hope some of this helps...

Yes, I have tried all of these, thanks for the advice.

Sorry to hear that. If I may ask...

* What phone are you using?
* While auto open doesn't work for you, does auto close work when you walk away from the car? (While I sometimes have problems with auto open, I have never ever had a problem with auto close.)
* Does auto open ever work when you approach the car the first thing in the morning, after the car has been asleep for a while? (I find that auto open most often fails when I do something like running into a store for a few minutes. When I reapproach the car, it acts as if it isn't sure if I am really returning to it, or merely milling about nearby.)

iPhone 15 Pro Max

auto lock seems to work reliably (now that I have buried the fobs on the other side of the house)

Yes Auto Unlock has worked when the car is first approached and it has been asleep for a while.

... I have yet to have Voice Command fail to properly set navigation when I speak the actual address of a place.
Mine had a notable fail yesterday: though my spoken words showed up correctly in the display, the car navigated to the wrong address on the wrong street (though the correct town). Until I hear it's fixed, from now on I'll be stopping the car to hand-enter destinations, and carefully checking the result on the car's map. Nav and voice are the only shortcomings that are bad enough to really bother me.

really? don't play ignorant
He’s not. If your fob doesn’t unlock the car, it may be the handles. If it’s only your mobile key, okay. But if hitting the button on the fob doesn’t, you have a service issue.

(As I kept reading, I see you don’t use the fob - no worries sorry just catching up)

Ugh! Could it just have been a HERE issue, or did the voice recognition definitely get the address itself wrong? I find that HERE can definitely be hit or miss; especially when it gets down to the short strokes.

The voice recognition got every word correct, and if I look up the address on herewego, it is in the correct place. Something seems to have gone wrong in the handoff from voice recognition to HERE.

I'm sure they are doing their best with the resources they have, but I do wish their software group was larger. Midisize software development must be well underway by now too.
Assuming Lucid is somewhat competent, software should be the least of their worries with the midsize as most, if not all, of it should carry over from the gravity. Based on initial reviews, the Gravity still needs some software improvements and I'd imagine they're putting all their resources towards that right now.
