FEATURE Introducing RangeXChange V2V charging for Lucid

Are we still hearing June as the next batch that will be available for purchase? Like most of you, I've been waiting quite a while to purchase one.

I'm waiting for a response about the new batch from Lucid Customer.
I will inform you if there are any updates.
I need it urgently!
If anyone is not utilizing it and is willing to assist, please DM me.

Update: - Message received today from Lucid Customer Care
"I apologize for the delay. I learned from Lucid Store that their plan is still June, but not until mid-end. We're sorry it's not in stock yet."

Praying.... 🙌

Another 14days and if its not released i consider there word as June 2025 :p

We are nearing end of June, fingers crossed that the next batch will be soon enough.

June gone, no RangeXchange. This is becoming ridiculous with continuous missing dates. Its more than 6months this are out and the CS keep saying next quarter next month and now they may say neat year 😡.

I wonder what the actual issue is? Is it a lack of interest on Lucid’s part to order more from the supplier? Doe the supplier have little interest in another production run? Does the supplier still exist and no alternative vendor is available? There are probably a multitude of possibilities for why there is no restocking of the adapter. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve refreshed the page for the RangeXchange.

The truth is I’d probably never use it unless my wife ran out of charge with her i4 and was stranded. Even then I’d have to think long & hard if I’d go get her. JK! 🤣

We are still seeing electrical component supply chain issues today that started after the Covid economic recovery. I am sure that is the issue with production. Our company is having similar issues with continued delays in manufacturing overseas of electronic parts.

Now RangeXcharger is dropped from the catalog. So much for ordering one.
i think this was expected. The timeline kept moving. Support didn't know anything, no communication. Like the UI updates, i think Lucid wants to prioritize the Gravity and other future looking models. V2V is cool, but i don't think it helps Lucid sells more cars.

I think it has more to do with their supplier since this wasnt anything done in house.

I wonder if the latest car deliveries come with a mobile charging cable that's compatible with the range xchange adapter? They included a free, compatible, mobile charging cable with the original orders.

"Your Lucld Mobile Charger must have the RangeXchange Icon to ensure compatibility. If no Icon is present on your charging cable, it is not functional with the RangeXchange adapter."

Yes, they do. Those of us that had the old cables received new full cables with the rangeX part of the cable. This thread somewhere has a picture of the symbol on the cable which shows if you have the latest one.

Hang on, you misread the question. They were wondering if new car deliveries came with the RangeXChange cable to which the answer is no, unless something has changed I'm unaware of.

I understood the question as rangeXChange being two parts: the main cable and the adapter end. When we got our Lucid Airs we were given the first generation cable. Then when the rangexchange was offered, we bought the adapter but it came with the 2nd generation cable. I now have two cables and one rangexchange adapter. I carry these in my car and leave the original cable (which is not able to work with the rangeXchange adapter) at home in the garage. I usually plug the old cable in my car when I travel so my air gets the trickle charge over the few days I am out.

I understood his question to be about the cable and which version comes with the new cars. Not about the adapter which still needs to be purchased.
