Given this is probably a pretty universal thing during the end of the year holidays, I'm sort of surprised Lucid didn't factor that into their production schedule. For all we know, they did. But my DA didn't ask me anything about potential issues with taking delivery in December. If anything, he was super-conservative about even suggesting I could get my car in December. He just basically said "Whatever you've been told in the past, let's go with that, and if I underpromise and over-deliver, so be it."
Personally, I'll take delivery any day. Christmas day would be fine with me. But I know that isn't the case for a lot of folks. I hope Lucid isn't going to hold up other people's deliveries over people who can't take their cars until January.

I'm 6'2 The floor is much lower and Noticeably more comfortable on the touring. My legs were almost at a 90 degree angle compared to the GT where my knees were nothing close to that.

Also on the tracker please update my interior to santa cruz. I changed it when i saw the Tahoe in person.
I think this is a much bigger deal than it appears on paper. And it's one of the main reasons I resisted upgrading to the GT. (The other being the money, of course.)
Even for shorter folks, having your feet down further means your knees are in a much more natural position. And the bench of the seat itself is at a much more natural angle. That's going to make a big difference on longer trips.
What was it about seeing Tahoe in person that made you change to Santa Cruz?
That's precisely what my DA said - "Whatever you've been told in the past, go with that..underpromise, overdeliver." I had to tell him that it was my first call with a DA and nobody had ever given me any guidance on delivery dates. Never got any suggestion that my fully loaded Stellar White/Santa Cruz would be available in December. Think he said 1-3 months or something like that.
I do think it's interesting how some DAs seems to have more information than others and are more helpful and optimistic. Then you have other DAs that seem to just read off a script. I would have appreciated, for example, if my DA had suggested an opportunity to move to silver if I wanted to get my car sooner; I saw that was offered to another forum member. My call lasted all of five minutes and I didn't learn anything I didn't already know from this community.
Reserved Air Touring 19 Mar 2021, Confirmed 26 Oct 2022. Cosmos Silver, Tahoe, Fully loaded. DA called today to informed me VIN assignment expected first week of Dec with a delivery target by end of year. We'll See
Yeah, I have a bad feeling that white is not slated until after January 1. Everyone who has been offered their car faster if they upgrade to DDPro, etc. seems to be a silver customer, as far as I can tell. I knew they were running silver first, but who knows if they ONLY plan on delivering silver for the next six weeks? Doesn't seem like there would be that many silvers to deliver. Although the color is quite popular on our tracker. But if they run red after silver, and maybe grey? Probably not worth worrying about.
I wouldn't care at all if it weren't a $7,500 difference. End of January would be fine with me. But if I can get that credit, it would be nice. Would I change colors over it? Probably not.

I recently spoke with my DA to better understand the production assembly process (e.g., which features, individual options selected, etc. determined prioritization order of the Touring build schedule). And I received similar information that has been advised by other members [over the past few days]. Specifically I was advised that my VIN will be issued within the next (3) weeks (it could be issued as soon as this weekend but likely within the first week and half of Dec) and that build times are [on average] (2) to (3) weeks.
Given the features & options I selected, I am planning to purchase the large bow [that someone alluded to] as I suspect my VIN will come by the end of next week and my car wll be ready for a Christmas delivery. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Do you think you'd cancel DDPro if it gets delayed or would you keep it regardless? (Sorry, this isn't to start an off topic thread about DDPro vs DD.....maybe I should just just post 35 comments on the tax credit instead.....lololol)
If I knew my car was going to be delayed until Post December, I'd be tempted to back off DDPro, but would need to consult the wife on that call (although, in the end, she would say it is my call on it). Just such an expensive option, that I've not had in any of my cars previously.
I've ordered the car exactly as I wanted it. Made no changes in order to get it delivered faster. I would get DDPro regardless of delivery times. So for me, there's no change I would make if they told me today I would not get my car until January or February.

I didn't like the Santa Cruz because on pictures the wood seemed to Brown, however in person its more of a Darker brown. The Tahoe, the Brown was just TO brown for my taste. I felt the the Santa Cruz was nicer and fit better with the quantum grey. But hey! this is just my opinion, if everyone liked the same thing there would be one car one color.
I'm likely to be canceling my fully loaded Touring 19" even if I can get delivery EOY but just keep me on the list.
I dont really need DDP and from what I'm reading I would still get emergency breaking feature with the standard DD. Sure I get $7500 credit but I'm also spending $9000 extra on something I don't really want or need for that price. I will be opting for the Pure AWD instead and save myself $20k after taxes. Or $27k if the EV credit and "binding contract" gets sorted out in favor of Lucid. It's about $425 a month extra even when factoring in higher interest rate for the Pure plus lower insurance for Pure. But also something about driving a $110k car that seems stressful and overindulging (and no I won't judge others for what they drive, it's just a personal thing for me)

So do we have any guidance from any DA regarding which batch of color is next after the bulk of the Cosmo Silver's are done?

I have Zenith Red and was offered delivery by EOY if I upgraded. I went through with the upgrade, so let's see
Okay. So silver and red. Any one else get told EOY with a color other than red or silver?

I was told if I removed the Stealth option I would have it this year and I ordered Black. I really want Stealth so I am waiting.
Thanks. So that's three colors. Anyone out there with grey or white?
It'll be just my luck that white is scheduled last.
