It will initially be emailed to you before you receive your car. It’s also in-app once delivered
 
Guys - how soon does the app itself begin to work? Mine still says no car linked or something along those lines. I thought once it's outside in the parking lot waiting to be transported that the app too connects to the car?

Only once you login to the car with your Lucid account.

I believe that was a bug in the Android version of the app that they've since patched.

They informed me the VIN was issued but they did not provide. Sounds like that’s the only way to get the VIN. With the tesla app I can see the vin once it is issued.

That seems odd to me. As soon as my VIN was issued I received an email from my DA, with the number.
Perhaps others have had different experiences, or perhaps , your VIN is just being developed.
In any case, things seem to be progressing more rapidly now . Since my VIN was issued I have been relatively satisfied with timeframes provided by my DA, who has been fantastic!!!

I’m sure you will hear shortly what your VIN is, it’s necessary for financing, insurance quotes, registration, etc. There’s no way they won’t give you a VIN before the car leaves the factory.

Just received an email from my rep that I should expect delivery between September 18th and October 5. I'm not sure how accurate these forecasts are, but thought I would post the update.

I just received my vin for a QG/Tahoe/21 ordered on 5/8. I was told it was mid-production, ETA 2-4 weeks before final delivery. My DA was nice enough to call before sending the email.

It looks like registration in Massachusetts is particularly annoying for them. I basically have to do it myself, which isn't really a big deal to me. I'm planning to sell my 2016 Tesla Model S (any interested buyers here? ;-) ) and use the proceeds partly to pay the sales tax for the new car. Part of it will also go to PPF and ceramic coating. And part of it will pay for a new wallbox charger.

I'm in Mass and they are doing the registration for me, even though I would be happy to do it myself to speed things up. Overnighting documents back and forth, including a limited power of attorney to have an agent represent me at the RMV.

Yeah, I‘m also in Massachusetts and they‘re telling me it takes them 2 to 3 weeks to get plates and registration AFTER you send them the completed application with the insurance stamp. (Which you technically can’t get without the manufacturers title, which they refuse to send even though you’ve paid for the vehicle.).

I suggested they send the title and just let customers register the car themselves and pay the tax, you can get plates the same day.
