Nice job with the wiring. I’m guessing the USB-A side will charge slower, but at least it will charge consistently.

Yup. The USB-C is faster than the existing wireless charging, and the USB-A is faster than… no charging. Lol
could you elaborate which one is @Bobby 's piece that he'd sent? driver or passenger side and how did you squeeze it in?

His is the wedge on both sides. I just used some 3M double sided mounting tape. It was linked earlier on this thread.
I appreciate all the ingenuity of everyone on here, but LUCID should really fix this key and core design defect. Most likely this was chosen by the industrial designers because they typically never have a case on their phone to cover it up. That was my experience with my previous company. Any solution should be offered to current owners as a retrofit IMHO!

I did something similar a while ago and placed a "step up" pad under that rubberized piece and used longer screws to raise the rubberized part that keeps the phone in place. This creates enough space to allow larger phones with a case on it to fit in the slot and charge as intended.

I saw your wedge idea and thought it was a practical, elegant, and clever solution to the Lucid Air’s wireless charger Issues.
So of course, I decided to mess with it.
I’ve posted a design for another version that fits under the existing clamp and provides a somewhat more slick profile. But only somewhat. It has a lip on the bottom that slides into the clamp so that it can be gripped securely.
It’s up at Thingiverse for those who have a 3d printer (or know someone who does).

Best to place the puck on the phone, put it on the wedge where it naturally lands in the well of the center console, mark it, and double stick the puck to the wedge where it is marked.
So .. really excited today. My 17yo nephew was visiting over the Holidays and while riding in my Lucid noticed me trying to wedge my phone in the wireless charger slot and asked me about it. After a long dissertation on the various 3D printed items on the forum (and how they don't work for my iPhone 12Max w/ Otterbox case), he told me he'd make me one that would work (using the Charger puck that I bought after @Bobby's recommendation (i.e. Amazon link for the magnetic charger: https://a.co/d/2JS2fJw).
We went back and forth on a few designs and then he sent me one today that works perfectly for my needs. It's slanted enough so I can see the phone while charging (w/o it falling off due to weak magnetism), it's capable of being used on either slot (w/ wire management on both sides), and he did add a bit of tacky-ness so that when I take a curve it doesn't go flying off.
Posting photos, but to be fair to him, I did drop it when I was bringing it to the garage (mental note, should not hold the charger by the wire while in the holder/mount.

hmm.. don't know .. I'll have to ask him.
He's made things for me and my friends before, but we usually just give him specs/photos, and some $ and he sends it... never asked him how he does it (i.e. what he uses). ..also, this was a gift, so not sure what the $ would be, but if there's any interest in others getting it, I'll ask him that too.
In previous post, I forgot to post photos w/ the Phone in place .. attaching now.
Also, got a chance to Facetime my nephew. He said he could make and send each unit for $35 (he didn't say so, but I'll add that outside the Continental US, price could be more depending on shipping costs). The look on his face when I asked about "sending the file", was enough for me to say, "not in the near future".
