Windshield Washer

I got my GT about a month ago and went to use the windshield washer for the first time. I pushed in the left stalk to the second position and nothing happened. After another time or two, I bought some fluid and almost a whole gallon went in. Tried it again and still nothing. Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else had this problem? Do I need to contact service? Thanks.

It needs to be primed. Hold it down for like 5 seconds and see if that works
