2025 Air GT - Issues on Delivery Day

Sorry to hear about your issues. I also had a bunch of problems within 15 minutes of picking up the car, and since then there is something new every week - so get ready for it. I had 27 cars so far, new and used, never had so many issues, not even close. People on this forum are very forgiving, probably from a combination of enthusiasm for the brand and a hint of the sunken cost fallacy. This many issues are unacceptable IMO, but I also knew what I'm getting myself into, hence choosing the ultra-short lease. Whenever I get frustrated, I think of all those who actually BOUGHT a Lucid.

CS is pretty responsive and helpful, but they are clearly overwhelmed. I hope you'll get your issues fixed and you'll learn to enjoy the car despite the constant small or big annoyances.
This is expected from a brand new car company....minor trim issues are not something out of the ordinary. I had a few minor issues, fixed by Lucid Service ( who have been exemplary) and now car is perfect!

9 months and 14,000 miles. Like every other car I've purchased over 35 years, picked it up and drove, through snow, ice, on dirt roads, on NYC streets, on interstates. Has not needed any adjustment nor visits to service center. I did have a windshield chip grow into a crack, but that was from a large stone thrown by a semi on 287. Other than that just charge and go.

Does your soft close work every time on the driver's door?

I’ve had zero issues with 3 lúcida. Some really minor things after 5/10k of
Driving but nothing like your talking about. I’ve also had over 30 vehicles easily and it’s by far my favorite once it’s all sorted to your personal liking. Nothing is close in drive

Picking mine up tomorrow from the same SC. Did you work with Muj? Will give me a few things to look for.

If it were me, I wouldn't buy the expensive Lucid home charging station unless you really want it for some reason. Even at 3kW overnight charging is fine, 9kW is generally overkill. Paying an extra $200 on top of the voucher seems silly to me. I'd get the mobile charger and use your 14-50 outlet. If you want a station, I'd just get one of the 3rd party ones off Amazon/etc. They're very good and usually <=$500.

I was surprised that you get the voucher later after you take the car, and then have to buy and wait for it. Certainly seems like they should just give you the option to pick it up WITH the car.

The soft door close issue, might be a software problem. There are a number of folks that have that issue since 2.3.10. Lucid is aware of it.
Yes, I took delivery 2 weeks ago and was told the soft close will be fixed with 2.4.2 when it is pushed to me. Otherwise I had zero issues and the fit & finish are honestly better than the Taycan I sold for the Lucid Air GT!

You can also use the voucher for the Range Xchange adapter + mobile charger and still come in under $1k... that's what I did to get more out of the charging allowance.

I get it I’m waiting but 2025s have no cable with the car. So ordering after delivery sucks when no alternative with the car.
The code for 1k charger allowance is the VIN of your car. You don’t have to wait for any email. Just go to LUCIDMOTORS.COM and order anything under charging section. Enter the VIN in the promo code/voucher field during checkout and you’ll get discount.

There have been a couple of times in my few months of ownership where being able to charge at 19kw/h at home has allowed 'same-day' turns without needing to resort to a DCFC.

Not anymore. I tried this two weeks ago right after taking delivery because others had mentioned it here and it didn’t work. My sales advisor sent me a code a few days later.

For the charge port door issue, did you unlock the car first? I tried assuming it would work while locked, and it doesn't. Had to be unlocked to push on it for it to work.

Can report that I just picked mine up and drove it home from the same center. I haven't found any similar issues, only thing I can note is the detailing job isn't great - but I don't really care.

I did notice a lot of very high pitched inverter whine on the highway as well as a "buffeting" noise that I didn't notice on either car I test drove before.

Also, the touch point on the charge port door is pretty specific (lower right, I believe). I'll be honest, I almost never use that capability in the wild other than doing sanity checks once in a while. Otherwise, I just open the door and hit the charge port button on the top left of the display.

Between the car having to be unlocked, though, and the specific location, I bet there are a lot of false positives on that one.
