Yes, it’s a custom cut. We’ll see if they can do it, given the HUB lens is concave.

Someone posted a pic of it before, it sits on the inner frame on the window side.
Most of the reflection appears to be the frame, not the lens, in the first pic. I wonder what it would look like if you wrapped the frame in that material. Has anyone tried to pull that frame off?
I’m referring to @docmar9’s second pic with the black cloth covering the entire frame & lens. The reflection of the frame in the window disappears entirely. I wonder if the entire HUD frame (sans lens) could be wrapped in that black cloth to make the frame reflections disappear. The frame would need to be removed to do that.
I was referring to the fabric eelpout and RLead8 were talking about. When I got my Gravity it had a strip of flocking inside the HUD frame that I hadn't seen before and apparently that only some people that have recently taken delivery have. While it doesn't do anything for the reflection of the HUD's frame I wonder if it was placed there to mitigate the "blue blob" reflections many earlier deliveries suffered from, I can't see any other use honestly.
Yeah, I called my SA about the HUD frame. He talked to a tech and said there’s no way to remove that frame without removing the dash. I also visited my PPF shop about wrapping the frame in a matte PPF. The installer said the black matte PPF would still show a reflection similar to the gray frame. He recommended a velvet flocking material. There’s plenty of options on Amazon. I’m about to go take some measurements of that frame. I’m debating whether to use 1” & 2” velvet strips, or to cut single piece and fold it over the edges, so that there’s minimal seams. Honestly, the reflection of that frame is so bad I can’t believe Lucid didn’t flock it. That would seem to be HUD engineering 101. The air vent also reflects badly, but it’s not interfering with the HUD view-ability and it doesn’t bother me.
That won't really help with the reflection of the frame in the window though. That plastic frame outside of the flocking is a problem too.
Did this offer any improvement? For me, the artifact of the top of frame (upward faces surface) is the most annoying thing. I don’t seem to have a problem with the blue bubble as long as my seat is high enough.
By the way, your lens looks dirty, like mine. Unfortunately, on mine it’s under the lens where I can’t clean it.
