Wind noise

Does anyone know if the 2024 models have resolved the wind noise with any fixes at production for those who recently bought one?
My 2024 AT still has this problem. It was assembled in KSA though not the US.

As far as I know, the KSA “assembly” consists of only one or two parts which is unrelated to the doors. I may be wrong here.

Thanks for this response @AltadenaAir ... I reached out to my service advisor and she's confirmed that I can get these clips installed ..I'm taking it in for service in two weeks..so fingers crossed that this issue goes away for me.. anyway, just wanted to express gratitude for you sharing about the clips. I appreciate it!
So reporting back on this after my service...the clips got added on all 4 windows and the car sounds MUCH better in terms of wind noise..I'd say it's 80-85% fixed. Also, I realized that my frunk center was maybe 1/8th of an inch sitting too proud and I requested they lower it to be aligned with the silver trim piece and I think that helped also. While driving back from the SC today, I turned of HVAC and music and listened at various highway speeds and think this is as good as it'll get. One thing to note is that I learned that when we're on freeways if I'm driving behind a car, or pass a bunch of trees or it's windy outside, the wind noise will be higher but just by a bit. So while I'll say this issue is pretty near resolved...I'm not aure it's 100% gone...but I'm cool with where it's at for now and don't wish to spend anymore time on it. So to sum it up...where's what helped me after months of dealing with this in order of priority:
1. Moving door striker inwards.
2. Clips installed by SC.
3. Trunk lip flush with silver trim piece.
4. I'm also gonna try putting lubricants like puffi etc in the trims tomorrow

Hope this helps!

Well s***....after 3 days of driving around....my wind noise is back to square 1...louder then ever before....and this is after all the fixes are applied...clips, striker etc etc. So much more distracting ....Im so disappointed....back to square 1 sucks...

I don't think it's a defect that can be fixed, most probably a design issue. It's just as loud for both mirrors. TLDR; engineers need to cut corners sometimes and this is one of them. Lucid doesn't have BMWs resources and expertise, so they did their best, trying to build something that mostly works for most people. They achieved the result, but for those out there that are particular about stuff, these lil things can be bothersome, mainly because you have high expectations when you buy a $140k car. I just got used to it.

Did this ever get resolved. Now that’s it’s getting colder here I’ve noticed a cold draft coming from what seems to be the top left corner of the drivers window/door when driving at 50+ mph. Don’t really have any excessive noise, but the draft is annoying.

Mine has improved, but not fixed. I have the cold draft issue, from all windows. They have done a ton of work to fix it, multiple times. Last time was last April but the weather has been nice since, so I'm not sure how good it is. I know it's improved because I've done short drives in chilly days, but I will be taking it back in if it's still miserable when temps get in the 30s. My old 2008 nissan armada doesn't have this level of air seepage. It's painful when you're tall and balding.

I had this issue and did fairly detailed testing of it. My finding was that it was an issue with the manufacturing of the corners of the window seal. I have a 2022 GT. The corner elbow piece of gasket was fused to the vertical and horizontal pieces. When cold, the corner had a non uniform flexibility in the gasket due to the fusing, that created areas for cold air to seep through. If I turned down a road where the sun hit the gasket and it warmed up, the air leakage stopped. Both the driver’s side and passenger’s side windows leaked in the same spot.

Working with Scottsdale service, we went through the box of window seals to find one with the smoothest transitions in the corner piece where it fuses to the longer sections. This reduced the air leakage by maybe 90%. I documented my testing and sent it to customer service. They said they would forward to engineering and supply chain. Scottsdale service also reported it as an issue.

The last time I was at a service center I checked out a new Air and found the window gasket corners have been changed to eliminate the fusing of pieces. I thought to myself that somebody in lucid listened and fixed the issue.

So I would be interested in knowing if the 2024’s still have this issue.

Very interesting. Mine is a 2024, and it appears to still have this issue. Funny you should mention the sun; this morning as I joined the highway I thought I felt the draft, but as the sun hit the side of my car it disappeared. So I really didn't feel any draft for my journey. Started to wonder whether the draft is intermittent, but it sounds like you're describing the issue. The question is whether there's a TSB to replace the gasket with the new design?

Don’t know about the TSB. I live in the mountains north of Phoenix. I can be in snow and below freezing, then drive down to Scottsdale where it was fairly warm; or drive to LA. So during a drive, I’d be in a wide range of temperature environments. Got first hand experience with the cold air coming in, then stopping, or visna versa, during a drive. Warm outside, no leakage. Cold outside, but Arizona sun hitting the gasket, no leakage. Cold outside, no sun, a cold gasket, then leakage. Wish I could remember the name of the senior tech in Scottsdale. Definitely a materials problem.

Nope. Said this is "normal" wind noise. I now realize this is the downside of not test driving the actual vehicle you purchase. This could be one of the only things that keeps me from buying the Gravity.

Has anyone noticed that after washing the car that wind noise increases? I have used normal foam cannon's and higher pressure washers and it seems to knock something out of place....

I too have accepted the reality that wind noise and air leakage is not fixable based on my own experience and the posts on this thread. I dread the cold winter months again to the point I will avoid driving at night when the temperature and need to heat take a toll on the battery. As for the noise, thank goodness the sound system is awesome.

I was watching a Rolls-Royce review, I don't remember which model. The driver was saying that it's so quiet that he hears all kind of ticks and creaks and buzzing that would otherwise be impossible to hear in a normal, luxury car - think S Class, Bentley, etc. I noticed a bit of that with my AGT, where the lack of road noise makes other sounds more obvious - namely side mirrors wind noise. That's a good tradeoff if you ask me, I will anytime take wind noise over pavement rumbling.

Unfortunately, it's not only wind noise, it's cold outside air.

This is a revelation. If Lucid have changed the design of the seal / gasket to mitigate or eliminate the problem, they should offer to replace the seals for those of us who are affected.

My door seals were changed once, earlier this year in June. It seemed to have made a little difference. Now that the weather is turning cooler here in San Diego CA, especially in the chilly early morning hours, it’s becoming more prominent again, the wind noise that is.

By the time I schedule my car for its yearly service, it will be out for warranty. I’d be happy to pay for the replacement of the door seals for the second time, if it’s done with the new design, and if it actually fixes the problem.

Otherwise, I’m cranking up my “brand new”, post 2.5 update stereo!
