Works well, though I wish it provided a higher power output (sufficient to run the device, but insufficient to run anything else)... I've considered looking for a USB C(M) to USB A(F) & C(F) "splitter" or "hub". It is also sad that the USB ports are not "switched" (e.g. turn off when the car is shut down), but easy enough (if you remember) to simply unplug devices from the USB receptacle when you exit the car.njg-agt, Could you please post the url for the converter you bought off Amazon? Thank you

Were you able to determine if the false alarms were from your own car? And are you willing to post a picture of the mounting location please? I also have a V1 I want to put inTurned my laser detection capability off on my Valentine. Too many false alarms. Also turned off K band as it is not hardly ever used in CA. Ka band works perfectly and I pick up HP consistently over a mile out.
Correction... it appears that the USB A port does indeed turn off after the car locks, not sure if this is new or just not previously noticed, this is on 2.0.59(I think... I don't want to go out to the car to verify this, too bad it isn't available in the app and dashboard).... I just received my escort a couple days ago and waiting on wiring to come in from Amazon. I've looked all the mounting locations over, the one I like best would be right up next to the left side of mirror using the EZ Mag Mount suction cup. I was wondering if anyone has had an issue with the suction cup holding? If the pilot panel wasn't retracted that would be a serious error. The dash is so long, it would be extremely hard to reach if it was mounted up towards the front and bottom of windshield. What are your thoughts on this?Works well, though I wish it provided a higher power output (sufficient to run the device, but insufficient to run anything else)... I mounted mine at the bottom center of the windshield. The cord then runs off to the left and under the right side of the cockpit panel and down the left edge of the controls into the under pilot panel cubby hole where it plugs into the USB to 12v DC plug. Yes, this location is a pain to reach (it is very far forward and a stretch for the driver to reach when parked, not at all practical for reaching while driving). I did not mount to the side of the mirror as I couldn't see a clean way to run the power cord (and do not want to hard wire it). I did notice in the recent "Out of Spec Motoring" Cannonball run YouTube that they mounted their detector to the right of the mirror (not sure what the power wiring was).I just received my escort a couple of days ago and I'm now waiting on some wiring to come in from Amazon before I mounted it. The location I like best is right to the left side of the rearview mirror using the EZ Mag Mount suction cup. I was wondering if anyone has had a problem with this suction Cup releasing or falling off? If this were to happen, it would be a serious error if the pilot panel was not retracted. I was wondering, does anyone have any thoughts on this or recommendations? I thought about putting it closer up towards the front of the windshield but, the dash is so long it'd be hard to get to.
