I was told by a Lucid delivery specialist (HQ, not local) that Lucid will open up a payment portal for my account. I have a delivery tentatively scheduled for Tuesday. But to date, I don't see a purchase agreement and even the other details (insurance, etc...) look like they haven't been filled out, although the SA submitted everything the previous Saturday. So my question is at what point did you see the purchase agreement - before or at delivery? How would you bring a cashier's check if you haven't seen the final amount?

It was a lot easier to pay using their online system than to go get a cashiers check.

DA advised me to use their Stripe ACH transfer, their experience was the wire transfer would take longer.

Yes, that is what I used with zero difficulty.

My tentative date was this Tuesday also but moved for a non-issue reason. The payment portal/insurance/registration portion of the website has been available for about a month for me. Invitation to pay was sent and complete maybe 2 weeks ago? I’d ask your SA what’s up.

The SA handed me off to the DA, whose name keeps switching on the website and neither of whom has ever contacted me. So because I threw a wrinkle at them with my credit union loan, they asked me to give them the check early. So I went down to the delivery center and signed the check and set up an appointment for Tuesday. On the website, the appointment's been moved to a time I can't make it, so I'll just call tomorrow to the Delivery team in Newark and get them to straighten it all out.

It was an easier process with Tesla six years ago, but they delivered a car with panel gaps, a bad paint job, and front seats that wrinkled so badly, they were replaced with a couple of months (at no charge). So I'm cautiously optimistic that I'm going to be happier with the car, so I'll straighten things out tomorrow.

Yea this process is still evolving, it'll be worth it in the end.

Update: Today, the DA texted me, apologized, and told me the purchase agreement will be available tomorrow. I also pushed my delivery appointment to Friday. What is strange is that the website never updates with new appointment date or indicates that the requested data has been entered (by the SA). Usually, the external and internal applications pull from a common data source, but in this case the only thing that has updated is to show at various times three different DAs.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I'm thinking I'll do the ACH, because Lucid's is also Wells Fargo. I think that's how it can be as fast as a wire. Same-day ACH is now a thing, apparently.

My delivery date changed immediately after I got off the phone with the SA. Might just be the difference in urgency of those clicking the buttons 🤷🏻‍♂️
