Hey All

I picked up my Lucid Air Sapphire yesterday from the Miami Worldcenter Studio yesterday. I have yet to drive it as I had them immediately take it to a detail shop I work with to have it completely detailed, paint corrected (although the paint was actually pretty good) and full body PPF.

Javier and Nicole were absolutely amazing to work with. The purchase process was incredibly smooth. Javier kept me up to date on everything via text messages and was quick to respond to questions.

The process was pretty simple. I made an appointment online to test drive one of the cars. I picked one of the lower trim models. Told them I'm really interested in the Sapphire but there weren't any, so I'll just test drive an AIR GT knowing it's roughly the same car, just with more power and features. Test drove it, put down a $25k deposit with my credit card. About 2 weeks later they tell me a VIN has been assigned and to fill out the finance application. I filled out the finance application online, put I'm putting down $50k, instant approval with a 6.09% interest rate (full disclosure: I've purchased and paid off a few cars in this price range already and my credit is essentially perfect, so YMMV). About a week later they set a delivery appointment for me and send me a bunch of paperwork to fill out online. I signed the paperwork online, came to my delivery appointment with a cashier's check for the $50k, they unveiled the car, set up my phone with the car and showed me all the features, I signed a few more papers, then they transported it in an enclosed trailer to my PPF guy.

Fun fact I did not know. The Chassis number of the Sapphire is on the door sill. I have Chassis 42 (hence my user name). I saw a Sapphire at Moda Miami but I don't recall seeing the Chassis number of the Door Sill of that one. Maybe that one was just one of those Preproduction Press cars? I was told I was #3 in South Florida, but I saw another Sapphire in the shop that they were preparing for delivery presumably sometime this week. No idea what Chassis number that one was.

This car will be my going out at night and weekends car. My daily will remain my Tesla MXP.

I already have a Tesla Charger with the adapter at Home and my office so that's one less thing to worry about.

I'll give more thoughts after I get it back from being PPF'ed in about a week. All of my cars have stealth (matte) PPF, and this will be no exception as I'm not a fan of gloss. I did find it weird that the bear logo on the side was just a decal and not paint.

Anything looking forward to reading up on these forums anything I should buy or do to the car.

Congrats. And totally jealous. Enjoy your new ride.

Nice! Please post your post PPF pics, really curious to see how this looks with a matte PPF job

That's great info re the bear logo being only a decal. If someone decides to go wrap it in a different color, can just apply the bear decal on that same spot.

Congratulations! The thing is an absolute joy to drive. I just wish I had your South Florida roads to drive it on! Can't wait to see how your wrap turns out

Awesome 🤩 that you were able to get your Sapphire in a matter of weeks!!

Looks amazing… Congrats, these tires are 21s and they look to be Michelin, didn't know Lucid used anything other than the Pirellis… not a great fan of Pirellis, do you mind sharing the tire specs for yours?

All Sapphires come with bespoke Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires with low rolling resistance compound at the center and super sticky cup two rubber on the shoulders of the tire. They are 20 inch up front and 21 in the rear staggered

Congrats!!!

They are optional. If you'd like, Lucid would be more than happy to stick the decal back on for you; they have a template for getting it absolutely precise; Peter was a stickler on that from what I'm told.

They're decals because they were added later; my original DE and many GTs did not ship with them at all because they didn't exist. Later, it became an optional service item.

The Sapphire decals are unique, though, in that they're just the outline.

I guess, in many ways, it's a good thing they're decals, since @hmp10 can just peel them off his Sapphire when he sees your bad boy in Matte ;)

Congrats. You will love it. I just got rid of my 911 TurboS because I like the Sapphire that much more. Yes the Porsche outhandles it but man the Sapphire is a rush. Roll on the throttle at 60 mph and giggle. So smooth and quiet at speed.

Thanks for the info… I really like that staggered look.. I see that option available on Tirerack… I’ll look a bit more into that… I love the 21 look, I have a Model S Performance with 21s and they are amazing, I have Michelin All season tires and they look great and run great. Now, I know the Lucid looks insane with 21s, but I’m a bit reluctant based on so many reviews where folks having 21s all around tend to often run into issues (flats, blowout, bubbles and what not) than others. Mine came with 20s and Lucid will change them to 21s, but after reading many reviews I’m not 100% sure… the 20s really don’t look bad… I want the 21s but more importantly I would hate to be one of these people change tires 6+ times within 8 months of ownership, that makes no sense and wouldn’t want that kind of headache… We need more tire options for Lucid… the Model S and the Lucid are about the same weight, I just don’t understand why the same tires would not work… I love the Michelin All Season 21s, they lasted me 2 full years 30K+ miles and don’t have to bother changing them every 6 months or so…

I did love that they labeled the first deliveries "1 of 6" so nobody had to fight about who was #1 lol

Hey, welcome to the Club. I got mine in late December. Did they give you the wheel covers? They are pictured and discussed in the manual but I didn't get any.

I took possession of mine in Feb and did not recieve them either. I was told they are no longer being included with the car. I didn't care because I'd never use them

Lol. I was told that they are "in the final stages of design, preparing to begin production" and that I am "at the top of the list to receive once ready."
