Is there a way to power the car down? The window tint guy is here and the car is humming along with all doors open for over 30 mins. Is there a way to power the car off when it's parked and you're working on it? Vacuuming, cleaning, etc?

Just got an email back from Chris at the Costa Mesa service confirming there is currently no way to power the car down. Oh well...........at least I figured out to turn off the A/C and that pretty much shut all the fans down.

Nope. You can lock it with the fob, potentially, but even then it will usually wake up if it notices you doing anything.

I don’t think you can power these EVs down with car doors open vacuuming. They are like running iPads. Some brand ms use button like legacy Hyundai, some use butts sensor on driver seat like Polestar, some just relies on locking car with no one in it as parameters to turn it off like Lucid.

Curious .. when my Air was towed (back to service center), the driver asked the delivery specialist if there was a way to shut the car off or put it in "tow mode" since the last one he towed kept honking (as the shock and tilt alarm kept going off). The Delivery Specialist said that there wasn't a tow mode and that it'd be Ok.

If there is no way to "shut off the car" for servicing, towing, etc. .. is there a way to shut off (or prevent) the shock and tilt alarm?

You can shut off the shock and tilt alarm (and set it to push only) from the mobile app.

I believe you can temporarily disable it altogether from the menu on the pilot panel, which automatically turns back on the next time the car boots up

Good to know .. not sure why the tow truck driver wasn't told about that.

Since I rejected the delivery, I never got a chance to setup the car .. I'll take a look when I get the car back and the app initiated. .. thx
