I actually agree 100% with @hydbob and @borski. This forum absolutely has the right to ban whomever they want, allow what content they want, etc. If I got banned for criticizing @Bobby's response, I'd support his or the mod's rights to do so, even if i didn't like it. The first amendment refers only to the government not restricting such rights, not a private company, club, group, etc. If @xponents was expressing support for what I said (not clear to me), then thanks.

What I meant was, I don’t think you would be banned for that, as that would be somewhat unfair considering you didn’t explicitly break any guideline. Not the amendment as it is only about the government, that was the joke part!

I have had my Pure for 4 months now. I really liked the car initially, but over time, I have noticed more and more annoying small design issues that make it hard to fully love the car.

Rather than list what frustrates me, I want to get ideas on how I can enjoy the car more, especially on normal drives where the Lucid’s great range and efficiency don’t matter. I like the drives where I am the only one in the car, there is open road, and I can go into swift/sprint mode. But I am hoping there are more ways for me to really enjoy the car than just driving dangerously.

Or I am just asking too much from the Pure? I didnt get the Touring or GT since the extra power and range they have over what the Pure were not worth the extra cost for me. I know it is just a “car”, but the way people on this forum profess the their undying love for the Lucid Air makes me think I’m missing something.

(In case someone is planning to talk about the sound system, I generally listen to podcasts rather than music. SS Pro, while good, doesn’t make much of a difference to me. I didn’t even want SS Pro but needed to get it since I wanted DD Premium. And yes the car looks great, but I don’t see it when I’m actually driving it.)

I don’t know how to get you to love it but I always knew I loved it before I even drove it. I get excited whenever I see it in the garage and I even great her when she wakes for me. “Hi, Luci, my baby” .
Just love it and your lucid will love you back.

I still stand behind my Ioniq 6 comments though. That thing looks like it’s sagging because it can’t handle its own weight

There are many little things that can be annoying but in general… I love the drive, the look, the specialness of being one of the first in the area. I don’t know how to get you to love it but I always knew I loved it before I even drove it. I get excited whenever I see it in the garage and I even great her when she wakes for me. “Hi, Luci, my baby” .
Just love it and your lucid will love you back.

I mean, on my last Lucid studio visit I witnessed somebody hugging the exterior of the car, calling the trunk a "sexy ass," and then proceeding to whine in the drivers seat about how he "couldnt take his baby home." I was so confused and couldnt take any more of it that I just left and went next door to the empty polestar dealership its a very emotional car apparently!

I actually can relate. I love mine as well and always say Hi to it too when it wakes up for me. I guess that is a little weird in comparison to how most people interact with their cars.

There is no perfect car. All the items you have listed appears minor and personal preferences.

There is a perfect car every point of our lives. My M4 was perfect until I got GT.

That may explain why the Polestar showroom is in a different wing (alongside Tesla) of the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall!

I still have to drive places periodically.

Things for me that would be enjoyable with the car without SSpro, without 360 cameras, 816hp, etc, would be just looking at the car and keeping it shiny, as it’s quite an excellent vehicle, in spite of being version 1 of the car with a new company. Also use it for runs to hardware store or whatever as it can fit a shocking amount of things in it due to the storage space. It’s a clean serene form of transportation, if you wanted the bells and whistles you would have gone for a loaded GT. Regarding noise levels, is this your first EV? What happens is in EVs like the air you’ll notice sounds you didn’t notice in ICE cars because the motor/NVH was obscuring it. With the Lucid you’ll hear the motor whine (intentional), wind and tire noise a bit more because there’s no ICE car noises to compete with those frequencies. For me the car is my psychiatrist. I very much like the minimalist design, the seats, the ergonomics and user interface of the glass cockpit, and steering. So I’ll just cruise around smoothly and be happy I have this innovative nice car I like.
