You will waste more energy compared to just driving off with a cold battery and letting it heat up naturallyMy theory is that preconditioning the battery while hooked to the home charger will raise the battery's temperature for a winter drive. Is this a stupid idea? Has anyone tried it? I am in Dallas, and I probably don’t need to do it other than a few days during winter. But I'm curious if any owners in colder climates do this and what their results have been.
