OTA Update 2.6.0

I love love love the new brake light indicators when Drive Assist is on. Its a small detail that I really appreciate, as I'm a situational awareness freak. From now on, I will drive with Drive Assist on, even when its not enabled/active. Perhaps this feature will find its way to the dash as an "always on" feature.

Regarding the turn signal audio directionality change... I hear no direction change. The sound in my car remains centered above the steering wheel. Further more the turn signal cadence is randomly variable- would drive a drummer crazy. I wonder if anyone else has noticed either of these issues. I've done several infotainment reboots. As I consider this a very small detail, I only mention it as an observation.

RE: the (alleged) turn signal audio directionality -- yes, seem my post. I'm convinced that -- at least for some of us -- it is not happening. Eager to hear from Lucid about this.

Add me to the group that likes to know when my brake lights are on with regenerative braking. I think that the little car should be displayed even when not in "Drive Assist" mode.

What I noticed yesterday, if the regen level is light, the brake lights do not come on. IF the regen level is aggressive, it does come on. If you put it into Drive Assist mode, even if you don't use a speed set point, you can notice it. I agree that it would be great to see if all the time, but we don't lose anything in drive assist mode.. just a change to get used to if you want to see the brake lights and lane positioning constantly

I actually like this because light regen equates to coasting in ICE cars..

I noticed the same thing. Very intelligent use of the brake light software. When you come to a full stop, the brake lights are on then they go off until a complete stop and hold when they stay on -- this mimics ICE behavior and is good alerting to the driver behind you.

Just got the OTA last night 2/3/25. Was a mess this morning, dash completely dark, no buttons working, couldn't drive the car. Finally able to get it to wake up after several reboots just to find out it killed my mobile key and had to relink. What a pain! Have no idea what other surprises are coming, will keep you posted. Luckily the weather is nice now so while i am waiting for my mobile key to eventually unlock the doors i am getting some sun

Tell your service team. I know from experience that something losing 12V power can reset that specific setting without any other noticeable change. You might have a bad connection or something. Or I could just be wrong.

That is in the release notes, but the word "allow" leaves me uncertain. Have they simple made the bass control more sensitive? -1, -2, -3 still seem to be in the same spots. Maybe each step reduces the bass more aggressively?



Some here may feel that 0-0-0 now sounds good, but to my ears, its still more bass heavy that it used to be pre-2.5.0. I was using -3-0-0 with 2.5.0 but adjusted it to -2-0-0 or -1-0-0 depending on what i'm listening to. Really would like to have more bands at the least.

It would really be nice if we had frequency response data between pre-2.5.0, 2.5.0 and 2.6.0. Hoping for continual improvements. 2.6.0 definitely sounds better than 2.5.0 but I still feel that the pre-2.5.0 was FANTASTIC and still remains my reference for audio in this car.

Primarily a back seat improvement to my ears where your head doesn't feel this odd pressure. I suspect bass will not ever go back to 2.5.0 days unless adjusted via EQ settings.

I believe this ultimately results in slightly less bass response/presence at the same 0-0-0 setting. Then the steps are roughly the same reduction from there. Of course, I don't have equipment, so this is based on subjective measuring in a not back to back listening environment.

Customer Care put in some kind of case update / ticket to have the software pushed again. They estimated it might not happen until the weekend is over.

Took the car out for a drive this morning, and everything still seems to be functioning correctly.

Update: a new update notice arrived last night and installed without issue.

After installing 2.6.0, Carplay did not work. Logo reset, blinker reset and switching profiles did not correct the problem. Finally went to settings/carplay in iphone, Forget Lucid car and repaired the car/phone. This corrected the problem. Never had this carplay connection problem with any other update.

add me to the group that thinks this should *not* be on all the time .. it's pretty distracting. I do like having it in drive assist so I can find it easily enough if I want it and when not, I can turn it off.

I appreciate that Drive Assist is the default setting whenever I turn on ACC/DA. Previously, if I recall correctly, you had to long-press to activate HA and transition from ACC.

However, I’m aware that this change might annoy some drivers who prefer ACC over Drive Assist.

Do you have an iPhone? If so tap the Climate bubble and it should open up more controls including Surfaces. These features are not in the Android app yet, there's supposed to be a new version coming "Soon."

I would like to see the lanes with cars as default. Even when I do not have dream drive pro enabled. This lets you know if cars are snaking up behind you. I’ve noticed when DD is enabled and I try and auto-change a lane… it makes the lane red and the cars red that you would otherwise run into.

Not all would like this. Therefore it would be cool if you could enable that as your default view or not.

I also do like seeing the break lights and turn singles. Not only is it just cool, perhaps you leave a signal on and your music is loud. Maybe that would not happen anyway (as you can see the left and right camera when your signal is on).

I installed the update over the weekend and first time driving it today. Car Play was also not working, disabling / enabling BT on the car usually works for me, but didn't this time. A logo reset resolved the issue. Did a few errands, and CP connected right up each time when I returned to the vehicle.

In the past, I have observed if you open the door to get something and leave the door open, my phone would connect to CP, but if I walked out range (say to the end of the driveway or back into the house) when I return to the vehicle CP would not reconnect. Toggling BT in the car typically resolves for me.

I also experienced this exact thing as well. It didn't happen right away, I'd say after the first 3 drives after installing 2.6. A logo reset for me did not fix it either. However, doing the logout/login in the mobile app (iOS) to get the seating climate controls to work seemed to fix this issue. The heated steering wheel is now staying on if activated via the app or directly in the car's UI.

I am however having another problem. A couple of times now, the car has not locked when leaving it. I usually only use my phone as a mobile key and don't carry around the fob. This has worked pretty well over all. However twice today, I've come back to the car to find that it never locked. I could see the door handles sticking out long before I ever got in range to actually unlock it. Anyone else experiencing this?

I think most people may have given up on it but has anyone experienced “Hey Lucid” actually being worse since this update? I said “Hey Lucid, what’s the weather outside” and it didn’t even bring up the Accu Weather window kept saying it’s not available. Said “Hey Lucid is it going to rain today” and it started blabbing on about turning on location services. Where on earth is location services in the car? I did ask it where location services are and it just brought up a random list of locations in navigation. Lol

I also had for the first time ever, after updating to 2.6.0, the heated steering wheel not staying on. I gave up on it and the next time I drove the car several hours later it worked. For what it’s worth, the passenger side front seat heaters were on full blast at the time.
